Any chance of a PQL CLI?
Any chance of a PQL CLI?
Shoudn't be too hard - I'll add that to the todo list.

Excellent!
In fact would there be a demand for a CLI for the normal program? - Personally I'd love to be able to enter: ppt [range(s)] -g[game holdem] -b[board card(s) null] -d[dead card(s) null] -o[=short full]and have the equities returned.
eg: ppt JxJy*x*y 10% O8 -d As This would return (JxJy*x*y) 44.7% (10%) 55.53% and is the same as:
ProPokerTools Omaha Hi/Lo Simulation
600,000 trials (Randomized)
dead cards: A
JxJy*x*y 44.47% (183,962 scoops, 331,711 wins hi, 2,332 ties hi, 23,939 wins lo, 3,646 ties lo)
10% 55.53% (249,702 scoops, 265,957 wins hi, 2,332 ties hi, 274,129 wins lo, 3,646 ties lo)
Yes, that's a decent suggestion. I think having both a PQL-based CLI and a plain all-in equity CLI would probably make sense.

Excellent. PPT is so fast on my mac that it should be possible to build a homebrew Pokerazor(defunct) type program for analyzing lots of situations in any of the games PPT supports.
And if I can find or make (unlikely given my poor programming skills), a basic CLI ICM calculator, should be possible to do the same for MTT/STT's.
Odds Oracle 1.01 is out today.
http://propokertools.com/odds_oracle
Major changes: Many new PQL functions, "Given that" clause in Ask the Oracle, 5-card Omaha support
Cheers,
bachfan
This software really is the nuts. Wicked job. I especially like the 5 card PLO/PLO8. Would you happen to include superstud (5 card pot limit 7 card stud8) in future and triple flop plo? Will be purchasing the licence next month.
I'll add those games to the todo list.
Odds Oracle 1.1 is out! (download here) with two new tools:
Shove Equity Tool Screenshot
Reverse Equity Tool Screenshot
Thanks for the work Bachfan! I will download this and check it out. These new tools will be great, and I also like PQL. Good luck, Yojimgari
Program just keeps getting better ^^ The shove equity tool would be the stone cold nuts if it could account for 10 players, that way it could be used for preflop shoving situations

Yes, that is a good idea that deserves some more thought.
Thanks,

Nice additions ![]()
Any further thoughts on the cli bachfan?
Have managed to wrap a basic ICM calculator in jRuby and would love to start building my homebrew pokerazor.

It's on the todo list. I'm currently working on an interactive range-of-hands UI for omaha.

holy alpaca, I'm so buying this program
I want to work our something somewhat complicated; I want to work out how often someone flops decent pairs + (basically everything - 22 on AKJ/ 7h6h on 6c Qd Kd ) and how much equity that range has when the event happens against another range; can Odds Oracle do this?

We'd probably need a custom query for this - I'd be happy to help you write one if possible and/or add new PQL functions to make it possible. The tricky part is you need to define precisely what you mean by "decent pairs +". For instance, do you want to include pairs lower than the lowest rank on the board? The next-lowest rank? Is middle-pair ok? Etc. etc.

ok awesome, I'll ship you precisely what I want. Where can I create a custom query?
Odds Oracle 1.15 is out! (http://propokertools.com/odds_oracle).
It includes the Advanced Range Constructor (http://propokertools.com/oracle_help/advanced_range_constructor) for Omaha. If people like this approach I will be adding something similar for the other games.
Your feedback is most appreciated.

Some screens:
Before-the-flop range construction
Flop range construction

oh, misread your post. Still very interested in figuring this out
To be precise, I want to figure out how often someone flops a straight/flush draw with at least one over card with the exception on 3-suited boards where the 4-suit hole card needs to be J+ or there needs to be two overs to the board and the overs must be broadways(TJQKA), any combo draw including any pair +gutshot, two pair +, any top pair, any second pair with a T+ kicker, any second pair that has a kicker between 2-9 and isn't on a board with 3 broadways or 2 broadways that are connected and 2/3-suited(JsTs4c), any third pair with a T+ kicker that are not on boards that have 2+ broadways/3-suited, any pair on boards that have no broadways and aren't 3-suited/offer no immediate straight potential(679), any ace on boards that are paired and have no broadways/have no 2-suit + connectivity combination(7h6c8h), any ace with a T kicker + on boards with no broadways/2/3-suits/no immediate straight potential, KQ and KJ on boards with no potential draws and no broadways
If I was unclear at all pleas let me know!! ![]()
I think my brain just melted. ![]()
OK, in order to do this there is one more PQL function I will need to implement (it is on my todo list anyway) - when I have that done I will see about creating a query for you.

oh and on second thoughts, don't include the KQ/KJ in the analysis(last part)
Price going up!
Fair warning - I intend to bump the Odds Oracle price in one week. If you were planning on buying a license, now would be the time (yes, all upgrades are free forever).

Has it already went up in price?
I'm running two operating systems atm(one's mac and the other is a windows poker partition), if I buy it can I use the license for both systems?

Yes, I'm happy if you use the license on more than one machine (as long as you are the only one using the license).
Price has not gone up yet.
