Haven't heard much about this software on DC. Is anybody else using it? I completely replaced Pokerstove with it and was wondering what else people were doing with it. All the tutorials are in German so I'm hoping some English folks make some tuts.

Never used it but the fact that it's German software tells me people here are going to keep using Pokerstove until someone writes an English tutorial for this awesome(?) software
How do you like it compared to Pokerstove?
It does the same thing as Pokerstove but I think its a nicer package. It has the turn and river analysis but without English tutorials I'm not sure how to use it correctly.
Me neither my German is very bad. All I can do is order Bernerwurstel und Bier ![]()
The software is completly in english it kills pokerstove. The website is german that's it. It even has built in ranges against opp who learned from DC, I kid u not. Has CR too check it out.
well, I just tried and it is very nice indeed. I really like the tool to see which card are good or bad for your hand on a next street. The only strange thing I noticed it does not work if your pc is not online.
I have it, and don't use PokerStove anymore. Pros over PokerStove:
1. Better graphics and layout.
2. X button lets you easily delete a range or card(s).
3. Ranges don't clear if you switch back from another window.
4. Blockers are automatically adjusted for.
5. Easier suit selection.
6. You can hover over a hand to see which suits are selected.
7. It includes predefined preflop hand ranges.
8. You can save predefined preflop hand ranges.
9. It lets you select the middle of a range.
10. It's easier to select and remove multiple hands.
11. You can save and load various ranges and cards easily.
12. It has a scenario analyzer.
13. You can copy information to BB-Code or HTML
14. You can upload hands to Hand HQ
15. You can temporarily disable a range of a specific seat/player.
PokerStove lets you select dead cards, and may be faster. But Equilab by Poker Evolution is miles better, and has replaced PokerStove. Everybody should get it. You don't need to watch the tutorial videos to use it, and the texts are in English.
Equilab is miles ahead of PokerStove. Good luck, Yojimgari

Can't find the program, anyone have a link to it?
Thanks!
Search on Google for Poker Evolution, it's the 2nd result. The program was called Equilab in this thread and is in the download section of that site. Here's the link, enjoy:

Hi Everyone =)
I am Robin Girke, founder of Poker Evolution and co-creator of the Equilab everyone here seems to enjoy
Just wanted to mention that a new update is coming out at the 27th of Febuary which will have some nice new Features.
Some of them are pretty basic, like a deadcard feature, others are quite new to the market. I guess everyone will find something they like.
If you got any questions i´ll be happy to answer.
Kind regards
Robin Girke aka Milamber
Looking forward to that! ![]()
What I´d really like to see is a way to weight ranges. Like holdemranger does.. you type in AA(50), AK(75) and there is a 50% chance for the range to include an AA from all AA combos and 75% chance to include an AK from all the AK combos. Now in Equilab I have to pick different suits from every hand to weight ranges differently.
If this feature was added I could throw away holdemranger from my computer.
Hi Darkhorse
Sounds like a decent idea.
The only problem is that with each additional feature usabillity gets worse :\
But were thinking about some "professional use" option for the equilab for quite some time and have a ton of features were thinking about.
So: Good ideas are allways welcome =)
in particular: Would it be "enough" to just weigh handgroups like "AKs" and subranges like AKs, AQs, AKo as a group?
Because i dont really see a quick fix for the problem of weighin each hand individually without a big loss of usabillity.
(Weighing each hand individually = A
K
20% A
K
45% etc)
Kind regards
Robin
what's the internet connection for?
i can't run it offline.
When you start charging for it just remember who started this thread. ![]()
Hi Guys
what's the internet connection for?
i can't run it offline.
We see the Equilab as a free software tool. Still we reserve the right to add services which will be linked to certain membershipcriteria lateron.
Furthermore we have allready added services like the HandHQ upload which only work online. To assure comfort and usabillity of all the featured services of the Equilab we decided to make sure the user is online(which is a common thing for me, i cant remember when i last used a pc without beeing online with it).
Your invited to check the stream of data the equilab exchanges with our server and youll see that all thats checked is the servertime.
When you start charging for it just remember who started this thread.
As funny as it may sound, the Equilab as u see it in front of you is and will allways be free to use to everyone.
We startet this project because we needed a decent analysis software for our own Content. After some production time, we came to the conclusion that this is just way to good to keep it to ourselfes, so we decided that we wanted to make a contribution to the pokercommunity.
Iam happy about the fact that you are enjoying the Equilab as much as we do in our daily work!
Kind regards
Robin
