Hey guys, I play most of my poker on my desktop but occasionally I like to chill downstairs while i have a few MTT's going or studying some hands in HEM. But obviously if most of my hands are on my desktop I wont have any history on the regs that I usually play or any of my hands. Is there an easy way to keep my laptop's HEM up to speed with my Desktop's HEM by maybe transfering it over with a USB or something? Thanks

importing DB's back and forth takes too long

if both computers are on the same network (your house wireless router) then allow them to share files.

You can then direct the HEM on each machine to a central database located on either computer.

(e.g. point your downstairs computer's HEM to utilize the DB on your desktop upstairs)

This way you have one database that gets updated and utilzed by more than one HEM rather than running DB's on usb sticks back and forth

another option would be to purchase an external drive that is dedicated to your postgreSQL DB. Then point each HEM to that external drive's DB and just unplug and take the drive with you upstairs or downstairs.

(networking is much easier and less physical labor though)

If you're using HEM 2, you can just sync them via uploading to their server and downloading onto laptop. I use both a desktop PC and a laptop when I'm traveling, and I do this just before I leave. It updates notes, hands, everything. Both databases on my laptop and desktop are identical.

Pretty sweet feature imo.
