I have had so much trouble installing this product, but finally succeeded - needless to say after having a look at it, I will most definately be purchasing it next week!!

I am not sure of the ethics involved here, however, not being a recepient of monies for the sale of any of these products, I dont think it matters. The problem I had installing HM was all due to POSTSQL problems. Eventually I gave up, and thought I would have a look at PT3. I downloaded the current beta version, and low and behold, it comes with POSTSQL. Sooo I installed PT3, and tried to run HM, and it worked!! PT3 looks great, but to be honest I prefer HM at this stage. Just thought I would pass this on in case there are others like me who a totally computer illiterate.

On a different note, I downloaded a video last night, which I am yet to watch, but it was a short one on PAHUD. Is there any chance one can be produced on HM - how best to lay out the HUD, how to read the stats, how to use HM to identify leaks etc?

I'm not sure, but I think one of the coaches on this site said he'll do a Holdem Manager intro video.

And yeah, I agree, HM pretty much crushes the competition at the moment.

Yeah I saw a mention that an XP installation video would be done, but a video on how to set it up correctly and use it for analysis etc, would be awesome

That would be very much appreciated - I am really new to HUDS, but seeing how they are used, I want to take advantage of them and really get to know them.

Thanks in advance

Since the last 2 updates you can move around stats individually like with PAHUD.

I don't like it too much because I like to have a clean, simple layout. And having it all in a box does the trick.

There's enough space even at 6max. I don't look at the stats too often when playing HU, it's just there for "peace of mind". By the way, none of the 2 dudes in that pic is me, and I only datamined for a few hands...

You can also "mouse-over" individual stats and you'll get even more info.

The vpip/pf/ag/w$wts is pretty standard, and allows you to figure out the BASIC tendencies of your opponent. The aggression per street and fold tendencies per street are quite nice to know as well, because it helps you to recognize if they do something out of the ordinary. Like, when a guy who never bets the river suddenly does so, chances are he's got a good hand.

3bet stats are a must in my opinion. The "fold BB" stat is nice for HU because if it's low, they usually suck...at least the ones I played so far.

Has anyone compared PT3 to HM? What is HM offering over PT2+PAHUD aside from 3-bet stats (PT3 will have this)? I'm not sure if I want to wait for PT3 since they seem to be dragging their feet in betas a bit.

I've recorded 3 vids including "how to setup Postgresql" (which is really pretty simple -- once you've done it once, lol). This will be on XP but if there's demand I may do another one for vista, because Vista will have 2x as many problems installing any serious application as XP.

Right now I'm tackling a huge problem (taking a break from it right now) involving a server, a drill, a case, several broken screws, and the desire for a gallon of whiskey. When I'm done with this (arrrrrrgh) then I will convert and post these videos -- sorry for the delay.

PT3 you can effectively create any stat you want. Then you can create reports and eventually HUD stats with these. As soon as the HUD is released it will match HM pretty easily.

PT3 Hud should be out within two weeks. I know someone with an alpha key and he is pretty impressed with the HUD.

Thanks very much - that looks great. Are you aware of an english version of this article? It seems that it explains each part of the HUD and I would be interested to see what it says.....

6max mini hud

This is the hud layout i go with on 6max mini tables

VPIP / PFR / AF / Hands
Fold CB / CB / STL / Fold STL
3B / CHK R / Fold Turn / Fold River / W$SD

The holdem manager hud is ace, moving the mouse over these stats brings up more quality information. Mouse over AF to get their aggression by street, W$SD to get their went to SD and WWSF, 3b by position etc etc.... Great program!
The aesthetics is the only issue i have with it - I would like each box to be the exact same size so everything looks nice, neat and symetrical Undecided
