easy answer. yes.
Just be aware that you´ll need a decent sized database, for tablescanner to be usefull.
I think using the autocolor software from clicktilt.com and then selecting tables right from the client lobby is a great alternative.
Check App-attack episode 8 for this.
Nothing in poker is a must.
Hey PRK,
i bought this add on for HEM and not used it a single time thus far. Why? Pokerstars improved its lobby so you can now see the notes you got on players, the colors, the PFR % etc. of people. Its not that expensive and once i get into playing more cashgames i will constantly use it. Depends on the limit you play i guess. From 0.50 / 1 upwards it should monetarize itself pretty quickly.

Strangely enough I like this simple answer. To expand on this simple but brilliant thought: If you have money to blow, buy it because it could give you an edge. Just keep in mind that too many tools can actually hurt or slow down your poker learning process.
For me it seems that my scanner is picking up the tables that all the other regs scanners are picking... So the only ones popping on the scanner have a huge waiting list and by the time I'm seated, the action is gone and only nitty regs are left.
I really haven't seen anything that my scanner is doing that I can't do myself in 15 seconds.
(I dunno, maybe im misusing it or something)

TST is fantastic, and highly customizable. It is honestly so much better than all of the for pay software on the market. I have it cycle automatically every 3 minutes, and whales on my buddy list pop up when they log on and I can get on their tables before they dump off their money.
Does anyone know of one that would work either natively on a Mac or that is browser based? I'm trying to see if I can get a way with not using Windows/Parallels. I know PT3 has software but I don't feel like paying $15-25 per month.
