What stats should I be looking at on other players, besides VP, PFR and aggression, anything else I should take into account, and any videos or anything else that would help me with that?

Videos relating specifically to the game type you play will probably tell you more about the specific stats that'll be useful in specific situations.
For some examples...
*3bet % is useful for determining what range they're 3betting.
*Fold to 3bet % is useful for determining if you should 3bet them
*Fold to flop cbet is useful for determining if its profitable to bet the flop to take the pot away
*Flop Cbet % is useful in determining if they are bluffing some of the time when they cbet
Remember that some of these stats require a much bigger sample than VP/PFR take. Seriously most video series mentions stats that will be useful in some situation.
Memoirs of a limidonk: you and your hud.
Great vid imo
This is my HUD at 6max NL Rush:
Abb. Name, Hands
VP$IP, PFR, Call Open, 3bet
I used the popup for everything else: Fold to 3bet, 4bet and/or 4bet range, Flop cbet, fold to flop cbet, flop check-raise, turn cbet, fold to turn cbet, bet vs missed cbet IP or OOP on flop or turn, won when saw flop, went to showdown, aggression frequency
If you are playing non-Rush and want a three line HUD, here should be the third line:
Flop cbet, fold to flop cbet, flop check-raise
Don't use too little or too many stats, and make sure you understand how to use stats properly. Ignore aggression factor, use aggression frequency. Call open/cold call is the most underrated stat. Sample size is super critical and underrated when considering stats. Good luck, Yojimgari
@diab0lic could you elaborate on the 3bet % and what you mean determining range they're 3 betting? Is this to find out if they are a donk or limping often? What are some threads, videos or resources to learn more about how to use poker tracker or stats better? Ive run across a few on 2 plus 2, and I think reading the faqs, manual for poker tracker would help a lot too, any other good resources on using stats?
3bet% is good for a cursory view of their 3betting range, but I like to use the popup in HEM to see how often they are 3betting from each position and more importantly how often they are 3betting from each position vs. a steal (usually much higher than their aggregate number).
Fold to 3bet is good, but I question how useful it is since it doesn't break it down by OOP vs. in-position. But good nonetheless.
%steal is a good one too.
Note: these are all HEM. I'm assuming PT3 has the same stats available.
ya poker tracker has all those stats, I currently have my HUD set up to display aggression frequency, vpip and pfr, but when I have my cursor over a player's stats they all show up. Im unsure of how to change the HUD though, but if it displays all the stats idk if its really an issue ![]()
In PT3 (atleast for mac, not sure about windows) Configure->Configur Hud_> Stats tab
you can double click to add a new stat from the list. Under the Stats tab there is a 'special' tab where you can start a new line to organize your HUD.

fwiw, imo the stats in your hud (as opposed to the popups) should be a reflection of what behaviors you expect to exploit in your opponents, and will be game type and limit dependent. As an example, for micro nlhe, you might not care a whole lot about 3bet% if you don't plan on attacking light 3betting, where in small stakes it may be a much more important part of your strategy (because light 3betting is more common there). In lhe, fold to 3bet% is nowhere near as useful as it is in nlhe (in lhe, nobody folds to 3bets). I know some guys who swear by limp/fold stats (nlhe) as an example, which isn't something I pay attention to, because I attack limpers regardless of their l/f - l/c - l/r stats
.
So, imo planning your hud around the stats that represent the behaviors you want to attack is a good idea.
Tool Time: Using the Holdem Manager HUD
Sweet Thanks for this!
ok thanks, Im still learning the ropes, I mainly just look at vpip and pfr, but know that I should be looking at some others, Im going through From The Ground Up series for the second time, and taking notes, and I just went through and reviewed them. I think a better understanding or knowledge of the stats and what they mean, how to exploit them would help me I think. I plan on watching some videos on stats/math in the near future.
I plan on going through the HUD guide as well, that might point me in the right direction as well.
I use poker tracker now, because its a bit cheaper, I know that most often players use HEM on here, but I already have some preexisting stats on it, though I guess I could easily transfer to HEM.
my hud is pretty simple; vpip/pfr/hands.
however i'll click the pop-up and often check out: aggression, cbet/fold to cbet, steal, (call/fold/3bet) vs steal, and call open.
Be sure to check positional stats in the popup as well. Cutoff/Button raise percentages will tell you more than the vanilla PFR or "steal" stats, for example. Just make sure you have a big enough sample size, as positional stats obviously take longer to converge.
