Hello folks,

I just recorded a 45 minute session of me playing the lowest limit of 8-game on Poker Stars. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. I ran pretty good this time around, but I know I have some major leaks. I hope to post these periodically to get feedback on my game if people are willing to help out.

first thing is the quality is really poor. its very difficult to make out some of the cards, stacks, stats, player names, everything! in future make it easier for people to help you. record in a better quality, only record the table (imo anyway, extra is unnecessary) and i like to hear the table sounds as it helps me focus, but w/e.

ah ok sorry. I was trying to keep the file size small so I recorded with no sound and rather poor quality. I will do better next time.

5:30 - id take a stab at this flop when i get a free look, you'll win alot imo.

14:20 - you shouldnt bet the turn there unless you have reads that the guy folds alot of just draws super rough. otherwise you get 1 bet in as a coinflip or there abouts and 2bets in as a significant dog. river bet is also really bad as nothing better folds usually and little worse calls. fwiw, its much much more likely you get called and win than he folds better.

15:10 - this hand is pretty bad tbh. you should probably c/r after the 1st draw as you have improved to a strong 1cd and the guy is likely to bet 100% despite limping otb. if you dont think he'll bet, then do it yourself. as played (and also as should be played) you should bet the turn, you are ahead and should bet for value and to not give him a free draw. his river check is LOLable.

general tip: get your discards ready before you're asked, it speeds up the game immensely (sp?)

17:21 - id 3bet here with KTo. we dont need to fear the utg limp and i think the btn will be wide. id defer to people that are good at lhe though.

21:35 - that hand should probably be folded preflop. im not sure whether its 9874 or T874 but its unlikely to make either good high or good low hands and no chance to scoop.

35:24 - I think your bet on 5th is kinda bad/pointless. you should just check and hope for a free card imo as your FE is pretty low unless you're prepared to bet all streets which is also not a good idea.

35:43 - Ah! open limp? just complete. your hand is kinda dead though, but i still think we'll steal a fair bit. wp after that i think.

39:59 - super easy completion with 64s... you can make a straight AND a flush you would have stacked top set also

43:09 - i think you can probably 3bet for value preflop. AKJT is a good hand and will have them dominated hard alot and they'll also put you on AA most of the time.

45:25 - definitely bet the river for value. not close. doesnt matter that you lost, he'll have more worse hands.
next hand is a clear open for me too.

Awesome thorough review thanks! You brought up a few things I hadn't thought about and a few things I knew but needed to be reminded of. ...and a few I knew were bad the minute I made them like 35:24 lol
