Hey guys,

I was in Vegas while this was going on, but I thought I'd throw my hat in the game anyway. Good luck to everyone and let me know what you guys think!

THAHORSE WHISPERER

Series Synopsis

More and more people are playing games other than NLHE, especially since the introduction of the 8 game mix on PokerStars. Inspired by Joe Tall’s “From a Donk to a Stud” series and the Omakase idea, THAHORSE Whisperer takes a NLHE player who has studied Joe’s series and places him/her under the tutelage of two specialists in each game. Yes, that’s right, two specialists (inspired by the crowd pleasing Coaching Tree combos). The student will attempt to apply what he/she has learned from watching Joe’s series, and the specialists will help guide him/her in the right direction through live sweats, video reviews, and hand history reviews.

This is an intro series for each game and is meant to take a NLHE player with some brief knowledge of the other games and give him the fundamentals from which to build and a point in the right direction on where to go next. It is essentially a sequel to “From a Donk to a Stud,” but with live play from a student being reviewed.

With the 8 game mix being spread and 8 episode seasons, it only made since to do one each week. Because this series is “from a NLHE player’s perspective,” I wasn’t sure how to handle the NLHE week, but I figured it never hurt anybody to learn from KRANTZ and Wilt. That week might be a little more advanced than the others, but it should be a great series overall!

*REVISION* Due to DeathDonkey’s suggestions regarding the possible logistical and financial obstacles involved with 2 coaches per episode, there will only be 1 coach per episode with possible guest appearances from a 2nd coach, such as DJ, Entity, Joe Tall, etc.

Series Outline

T - Limit 2-7 Triple Draw - Death Donkey
H - No Limit Texas Hold’em – WiltOnTilt & KRANTZ
A - Pot Limit Omaha – MichaelSC & DJ Sensei
H - Limit Texas Hold’em – OnTheRail15 & Entity
O - Limit Omaha Eight or Better (Hi/Lo) –Gergery & Joe Tall
R - Razz – RustyBrooks & Joe Tall
S - Limit Seven Card Stud – CeeGee & Joe Tall
E - Limit Stud Eight or Better (Hi/Lo) – Blumpster & Joe Tall

I like it, only thing is that doing only one episode for things like 2-7 and Stud 8 which are really complicated is not enough. Instead you can take out No limit and limit Hold'em(and maybe even PLO)where there is enough information on this site and concentrate on the other games doing two episodes for every game.

I know it won't fit the name but just a sugestion. Overall I like the idea though.

I think you are probably right with this. There are plenty of series on NLHE and LHE. And DJ/MichaelSC have some good ones on PLO.

2 on Triple Draw
2 on Stud Hi
2 on Stud 8 or better
2 on Omaha 8 or better

1 episode of powerpoint/hand history review showing the basics and how to implement them and 1 episode of a live sweat putting into practice the information from the first episode. Even 2 episodes per game isn't really enough, but this series is designed to give you the framework to build on for each of the games so that you aren't a huge fish in the 8 game mix. And if you want more, you can always hire RustyBrooks, CeeGee, Blumpster, Gergery, or Joe Tall. What do you guys think about that?

I think I've checked this thread and for PM's on avg. of every 15 minutes that I've been online since Monday. I don't even have any expectations of success, yet I'm still drawn to it.

The obsession is becoming disturbing.

At least the NBA draft is tonight and I may actually get some more hands in, so I'll hopefully be even further distracted.

Has anyone received a grade yet?

Krantz gave me the chance to do it midweek because of the first delay and my inability to make the reschedule, and mine ended up in the locked thread, so I don't know if it was overlooked.
