I just uploaded the video successfully with Internet Explorer.

So maybe this is a Firefox/Chrome issue?

I just uploaded a vid fine w/Firefox, so that's not it either. Unfortunately I'm not sure what it is, but most signs point to some sort of local problem when you're trying to upload files, or something where our upload server doesn't like it if files come in at too slow of a speed, or something along those lines. It's really really hard to say -- we've tested from multiple computers and in different areas of the world (UK, Seattle, California, NYC) and haven't been able to duplicate the problem yet.

I am getting the 404 error too, tried a few variations of the filename

I'll look in the morning see if they are stuck in a queue somewhere

Thanks

What area of the world are you from? What type of internet connection? Just trying to narrow down potential problems here.

thanks,

I'm from the UK and I'm using an 5meg cable connection with 1meg up speed.

The 120meg upload was more rapid in your uploader progress bar than I would have expected, but I guess you must have got something, as the 404 error referred to the file name I had uploaded.

It seemed to hang for a little while after it got to 100%. I guess while your script was trying to move it into the Amazon bucket?

Forgot to record the path to the files on s3 so I can't see if they got moved overnight.

Good luck, if you think you can benefit from any more details or want a borrow of my machine over Team Viewer feel free to PM me

Thanks
Ron

For more information - I uploaded the same video file today from a Windows Vista machine at work and it was successful. Upload took about 10 minutes to complete compared to about 60 seconds when it failed from my home network. Both machines using firefox 3.5 flash 10. Work machine using an ASDL network, home uses a cable fibre network.

.avi has the highest quality, but is also the biggest file size.

Hi, been trying to upload a file for two days lol

I used Camtasio Studio 6 to video it, have produced it both as avi. and mp4.(hope i did that bit right) have tried to upload it through both firefox and internet explorer but get this message too.

Video upload failed - server response error 404 http://membervideos.deucescracked.com.s3.amazonaws.com/Mixtress/2372/Mixtress%2025NL%20Review%201.mp4

Not sure what I broadband speed is i'm on a cable network and they claim it's super fast. Located in UK.

Can I post a megaupload link if I get no joy with this?

Any help much appreciate.

When I try to upload a video in the member video section I get always a message (after having uploaded 100%) "Failed: HTTP Error". Can somebody help me to solve that problem?
Thanks!

You have to produce it in some other format, but the problem is likely local to your ISP, a cap on your upload limit.

hi guys
so i'm not sure whether this has been mentioned here already, but why don't you make a link to http://www.deucescracked.com/member_videos on the dashboard?
afaik the ONLY way to find and access the page is via this thread or bookmarking the URL.
unless i'm missing something which could easily be the case
