hi guys
so i'm not sure whether this has been mentioned here already, but why don't you make a link to http://www.deucescracked.com/member_videos on the dashboard?
afaik the ONLY way to find and access the page is via this thread or bookmarking the URL.
unless i'm missing something which could easily be the case
We're actually trying to keep navigational items in the dashboard to a minimum - if you want to find this page in the future just roll over "My DC" and click "My Member Videos" at the bottom of the screen.

Hi, been trying to upload a file for two days lol
I used Camtasio Studio 6 to video it, have produced it both as avi. and mp4.(hope i did that bit right) have tried to upload it through both firefox and internet explorer but get this message too.
Video upload failed - server response error 404 http://membervideos.deucescracked.com.s3.amazonaws.com/Mixtress/2372/Mixtress%2025NL%20Review%201.mp4
Not sure what I broadband speed is i'm on a cable network and they claim it's super fast. Located in UK.
Can I post a megaupload link if I get no joy with this?
Any help much appreciate.

Currently having this issue as well did anyone come up with a fix?
Using chrome, connection usually runs between 600-800 kb/s

SUGGESTION: Instead of having to download the file and play on whatever media player the user has installed, allow the user the watch the video in the DC video player (like all the other paid videos). Don't know what this takes from a technical perspective, but it'd be pretty nice.

I agree this would be great, but its really really hard. When we produce official DC vids, we use a particular format, encoding process, etc. which we can't know whether a member upload has successfully done or not. So a few member videos would have the potential to be played by the DC video player, but the vast majority wouldn't and could cause random issues.

set up a set of rules that everyone has to follow then make small picture tuts for the more popular editing programs?
like camtasia, vegas, FCP ect.
quicktime codec, h.264, keyframe every 15 frames, max 14mb/sec ect or whatever it is you do. pretty easy solution imo.
reason i dont watch members videos is because you have to DL them.

It's unfortunately not the only step required (it's encoding + hosting + streaming servers + enabling the player to work for it + more). Right now it's just not something that is viable for us given the demand.

That's a pretty large video - what did you create it in? Even in RAW unproduced format, most of our videos are less than 1GB.
You'll have to use an external service - try something like this: http://www.largefilesasap.com/ perhaps?
