HU Cash BRM ??
how many buyins do yopu guys play with or suggest for beginners ( played a good amount of nl 50 and nl 100 so far) ?
40 BIs should be good enough, just dont get to upset when you hit that big downswing, and dont be to proud to move down.
40 sounds good - any adjustment when playing more tables (2-4) - more buyins 50-60 ??
I wouldn't jump right into multi-tabling right away, get your game down on a single table down..
Now on the other hand, if you feel you have an edge on someone and they're willing to play you on multiple tables, jump at it as it should increase your profits substantially.

What is a big downswing at HU? I've played well over 100 k hands of HU and my largest downswing is like 10 k playing 3/6 and 2/3 from top to bottom.
50bi is what i aim for, and higher wouldn't hurt either. I know a lot of ppl play with 100, which i think is a bit much but to each their own. No one can really tell you what is right, it really depends on your aversion to risk and how much you value your poker money.
40bi for a beginner isn't enough to absorb variance. You don't want to have to move down everytime you lose a couple bis when learning.
Aim for 100bis, as you get a better assessment of your skill and self-discipline you can loosen your requirements. You're basically trying to make it so you aren't concerned about the money so much as the game.
I've had at least two -10bi swings at 50nl hu, just by playing aggro against aggro donks, learning, and tilt of course.
I can't see how 40bis is enough. 40bis is what I would recommend for 6max, and HU has more variance. Losing 25% of your bankroll is a big psychological hit for most players.
You want to be able to walk away from the game after losing a couple bis without wanting to bash your head in for not quitting sooner.
50 seems good to me
