Call or Fold Top Pair?
Early stages of HU SnG. Villain fairly passive pre-flop (sorry no stats). I C-bet the flop with an overcard and a straight draw. Turn gives me top-pair. I bet out (should I check for pot control?) and he min-raises. I assume I may be behind but take another card as a re-raise pretty much commits my chips to the pot( should I re-raise or fold?). AJ/J9 has a made straight, so I check. Is the villain's river bet a value bet with the best hand or a cheap attempt to win the pot?

Flop is fine. I probably go broke on the turn and definitely call this riverbet as played unless it's been like a 70 hand match and he's never bluffed past the flop ever.
I should note that the decision we're trying to make in this hand is hard when we just take the action as is. Gameflow/reads are huge in hu, and if your only read is that "he's been pretty passive postflop", the most we can extrapolate from that is "if he has a pair, I guess it's got a half decent kicker".
Lack of postflop tendencies in your read really makes the hand a crapshoot. His line is really strong and if you perceive him to be one of the many "honest", kind-of weak-tight players at this stake, there's little reason to think you're ahead all the time here.
