Button Limpers
Hi,
I'm still new at HU(learnt a lot from pr1nnyraiding however) at 50NL, Wondering what the general idea is in regards to button limpers, should I punish them as such and just reraise like 4x or should I just see cheap flops OOP, I spose with my stronger hands I want to build the pot up, but what hands should I do this with?
cheers
I normally raise any hand as long as he folds to more than 50% of my raises. If he folds less often, I raise every hand I'd play from the button. If he never folds (calling station), I just raise my strong hands and take him to value town.
Depends on the villain imo.
thanks heaps
sounds like a pretty solid strat, only question left is how much?
cheers
Depends a lot on the villain. If he folds easily, you can bet small. If not, mix it up a bit, sometimes betting strong with your strong hands, sometimes with your weaker hands...so he doesn't catch on.
If you do it as a bluff, bet the minimum amount that will make him fold...unless you want to set him up for a flop/turn/river shove bluff.
1. find out if le limp/folds a lot- 4.5BB with 100 Bb stacks is std. raize size
2. find out if he folds to a lot cbets on the flop
3. find out if he folds to a lot cbets on the turn
4. c/raise tons of flops if he bets most unraised pots when it's checked to him
5. if nothing seems to work dont tilt. you have still a huge advantage seeing the flop with hands you would normally fold to a raise. Given that it's not a shame to check/fold most flops.

I would never, ever encourage villain to start raising from button.
When they limp button they give up the biggest advantage in HU poker, and thats playing bigger pots in position. When they play like this you can see almoust every flop and crack their slowplayed big pairs when they dont raise then and go bust on 228 flop when u had 25.
