Ok, so villian in question wasnt great. I had played like 100 hands with him already and I he played pretty fishy. My notes read:

calls turn cr with tpnk and then calls river shove
peels flop with a high oop
leads with turned 2nd pair when flop checked through, but checks super scary river.
flats 77 pf, check calls 3 streets on 962 J J
cr turn with turned flush draw after flop goes chch, checks turn
ONE AND DONE

On the river I think stack sizes make this awkward. Can half pot it but not sure there is much value in a bet of that size. So I decide to check. He INSTA shoves. he couldnt have shoved any quicker. so do you guess call or guess fold ?

Maybe you could provide more info on his preflop ranges and his general flop play.

These are tough spots. I'll overbet bluff a spot like this with a 9T hand, but unfortunately he's going to be trying to own you a lot in spots like this with nuts.

Pot or overbet on turn, but on river I think either bet fold small or chk fold to this bet at least.
