About Spaceman in a Cowboy Hat Subscribe to

danzasmack plays HU. Except this time, it's small stakes HU NLHE! Under KRANTZ's guidance, Chuck has become a proven winner at small and mid-stakes HUNL. A fantastic series for HUNL beginners, especially those looking to make the jump from heads up Limit Holdem'. Put your cowboy hat on and get in your rocketship, imo.

nice vid. and ur fast talking is a good training for my ear to learn to understand native speakers Wink

anyway one question:

the ATo hand when u rivered the Broadway. I would expect u to make a potbet in reference to ur potbet with T8 and trip tens. Here it can represent also a busted flushdraw and the K on the river is an excellent bluffcard.

Meh I would tend to disagree. I think a pot sized bluff on this river is kinda bad for the same reasons I decided to bet pot - I really felt he was going to call.

Though I do think checking to induce a bluff has a bit of merit here I preffered the pot bet out. It's certainly close but I felt like my bet was getting called a lot.

Also to the other poster if you can't see the vid, you are not registered! 2 min is the preview vid.

Has anyone watched this video on an iPod? I'll try re-downloading but for some reason about 24 minutes in, my iPod keeps crashing..

Watched the rest streaming, solid video.

Thanks for feedback.

If you watch pr1nnyraiding you'll be able to keep up with this series 110%, I'm sure krantz and wilt covered some more advanced stuff than me in their series, I'm just taking a different approach and walking through my thought process.

Anyway, watching that series WILL prompt you for HU play.

Hi Chuck,

I am really pumped about this series as I am a LHE heads up player thinking about playing some NL as well. I have some general questions about stuff other than the actual play.

1. Can you compare the stakes and how big they play between LHE and NL heads up? This is not really a bankroll question because I pretty much know how many BB/Buyins one needs for a stake. I just want to know mostly about average pot sizes and how much money is being moved around when you compare the two games. It seems to me like limit would play bigger than NL in general. Would 3/6 play about the same size at NL100?

2. Is the rake any less brutal for HU compared to LHE?

3. I know that you said this series is not really about making a transition from limit, but you will still talk about it a bit because that is what makes up your experiences. So, what do you think are the biggest challenges for a player making this move? Playing less hands? Showing down too much? In my small about of hands the biggest challenge for me has just been the boredom of so many hands never seeing a flop... Poke Tongue

4. Would you consider making a bonus/support episode specifically addressing a transition from the two games? That way you can address this point without taking away time for other things you want to do with this series.

Thanks!
