The other poster is right at river villian only has 51 left in his stack. $51 to win $72. I need him to fold less then a third of the time to show a profit.
If he isnt folding A high then your defo not getting him to fold enough unless he does this with all his range and he doesnt need to be right often at all to make this call.
I think we have to remember that he is bluffing too. He turned his weak show down value into a bluff. At the river I think if he had the nuts he would have either bet small trying to get a call or more then likely Jammed. So I put him in the middle of his range. Mid pairs that is the range that i am trying to make fold.
His call is def plus Ev I would say my pre flop flatting range here was something like KK+, JJ-33, QcQs, QdQs, QdQh, QdQc, A9s+, A5s-A2s, KTs+, QTs+, ATo+, KTo+
giving him 36% equity to call that river.
I just don't know that many players make this call with ace high. On a CR river. That is why i was so impressed that he just insta snapped it.
I think at some point you just have to give up and admit his was a bad play on your part.
You'll never improve if you try to justify all of your mistakes.
