Villain was opening 85-90% and folding to 3bets ~60-65%. He had not been 4betting me at all HU. I'd seen him flat AKo earlier to my 3bet. My general read on him is that he is capable of making moves but in large he is straight forward. Have shown a tendency to see monsters when there aren't any, might be a weakish hand reader.

I was 3betting around 20%, calling around 35% from the BB. No real dynamics at this point in the HU match, I'd been picking him off in smallish pots and the only big one was AK vs KQ on KT3hhJK. I c/c the river after 3b pre and firing twice.

BTN/SB: $579.89
Hero (BB): $274.20

Pre Flop: ($1.90) Hero is BB with 5 Club 6 Club
BTN/SB raises to $2.50, Hero raises to $9, BTN/SB calls $6.50

Flop: ($18.40) 4 Spade T Club Q Club (2 players)
Hero bets $11, BTN/SB calls $11

Turn: ($40.40) A Club (2 players)
Hero bets $30, BTN/SB raises to $86.50, Hero calls $56.50

River: ($213.40) 8 Club (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets $167.50 all in

What is his value range on the turn? Flushes and KJ? Does he ship KJ no club on the river? Fold river? Jam turn?

i know the pot odds aren't bad otr, but do you really think we beat his range enough to make this a call?

Yeah. I also think AQ is possible(if he doesn't raise the flop with it), and maybe ATs(if he peels those pre flop)

Does he ship KJ no club on the river?

I don't think so.

You said "My general read on him is that he is capable of making moves but in large he is straight forward. Have shown a tendency to see monsters when there aren't any, might be a weakish hand reader.". From that I would expect him to very often check back KJ no club and similar hand strengths. KJ (no club) still wins a lot at SD.

What do you bet/call OTT with in his eyes? What does he expect you to call his river bet with?

He can get to the river with all 16 KJ, but OTR there are 9 combos of KJ no club, 1 Royal, 3 KClubJo combos and 3 KoJClub

What is the lowest flush that you expect him to value shove here?

Jam turn?

I like it.

Also I'm a micro 6max player, and I've never really played HU so take my thoughts for what they're worth.

I like the fact that your raise on the turn leaves you with roughly 3/4 bet otr. But it also means he is never fold the A or T of clubs I think. If he is straight forward , I like your line to because you can shove most non club rivers and I think a lot of his range calls (esp if you have shown him a bluff already, though I'm sure you would have mentioned that).

Check fold if he shoves imo and sleep easy.

What if he bets 1/2 pot. Shove or call ?

Flatting the turn seems pretty bad - when we don't have a read about his range in this spot and his tendencies on the river it is definitely better to jam the turn than to flat. And he doesn't have a whole lot of flush komboes anyway

As played I don't think we can call the river
