This is about 50 hands into the match, villain is up about 40bb and seems competent. He had a 12BI stack when I sat so I assume he's a regular in the HU games at this stake.

He's playing around 50/31 while I'm 36/31. PF and flop seem standard and I assume he's betting 100% of his range on this turn. Is this ugly or a good spot to turn a hand with sd value into a bluff?

while he will be repping the A a decent amount, i think it's still just a really bad spot for you to c/r. basically any pair that bets this turn isn't folding. only way he folds is if you have best hand and you will sometimes get called by draws that may push you off on the river. if you wanna bluff, flop is better.

i think turn is generally bad w/ anything, but at least doing it w/ JT or something is a lot better than this

Yeah, I have to agree with everything you said after thinking about it more. I doubt he's folding draws either getting 3:1 against a hand that looks like it wants to play a big pot.

Also agree with maybe c/r'ing w/ more equitable hands such as 76, JT, or even QT.
