I agree with you, that shoving the turn with the semibluff is +EV, but that only proves that shoving is better than openfolding (zero EV). Checking behind on the turn is also +EV. So if we want to find the maxEV-play your calculations arent that usefully.

25:45- JT, what are we doing if he raises the turn? Obviously he had some bet sizing tells. Since he seemed to bet smaller for value, what are you doing if he min-raised compared to if he shoved?

48:00 K5 4 bet, Krantz says against this guy he's betting and maybe jamming turn. What turns are we jamming?

Also, Aaron how do you not go to happy ninja whenever you win a big pot? I can only imagine the metagame effects as you show a big bluff with the ninja laughing at him with his mask down.

Great video guys, thanks

it's useful in that we can prove that shoving is +EV and not just guess that it is.

talking about something said on a video on another site is just really distasteful to me. although you may watch videos on other sites and pickup information (or you already knew it, which in this case i wouldn't be surprised) I don't think its really right to mention it. It is automatically copyrighted once he says it in video as well, so legally i'm not certain if you're getting yourself in trouble or not.

are you kidding?

great vid. actually made me wanna watch the mathmatics series, my mum would be so proud!

one question on the K5 4-bet hand: was it your plan to ship a lot of turn cards and what turn cards would make you slow down?

Very interesting video.

One question from a small stakes player regarding the K5 hand (might be trivial):

Are there no lower flushes in his range on the turn? It seems he's 3betting a decent amount, and your 4bet was giving him almost 4 to 1 which seems plenty given stacks and a hand like 67s, 89s etc.

Krantz mentioned you would expect to be raised all in by all draws, is this the main reason? He was getting a good price on your cbet as well and might decide to just see if he hits the turn.

Good video.

Just thought I'd point out that there's an easier way to do the math at the end.

We can use the same formula that we use when finding the required FE of a pure bluff: bet/(bet+pot).

Only for “bet” we substitute EV(call), and for pot we substitute EV(fold)

Entering the numbers then:

required FE= 43.875/(43.875+295.5)= 0.129

What did we say? That argument doesn't make any sense to me no matter what one of us said though. Sorry?

I think he must be talking about when you (Aaron) mentioned that you hear in other vids how the first 4-bet is always a bluff, and so you end up getting jammed on a lot if you wait too long to make your first 4-bet. Although Krantz also mentions the Bluefire content...
