Villain was playing 52/36/0,8 over 50 hands with 25% c/r to cbets.
He seemed to be c/r draws and (weak) made hands to flop cbets so
turn made me really confused.
He seemed competent so i couldn´t put him on a lot of
made hands that beat me.
I figured he would c/r every twopair and hands like 89/T9 etc..
I could´nt see any real twopair hands except for Q8/ maybe a hand
like Q7 but i´m not sure he would raise that hand all the time.
Since he probably viewed me as aggressive since i had cbet every flop
i thought he believed i would 2barrel a Q here a lot.
I also thought he might raise a weak made hand/drawing hand here.
Is my thought process bad here or is this always a fold
against a aggressive competent player without any real reads?

i would fold.
against a competent player, i've found that alot of times when their line makes no sense, they realize this,, and ussually have the goods. Against a weaker player, who is atelast slightly aggressive, I dont mind shoving, although folding is definitly the lower-variance (and probably correct) play

Maybe I am being results-oriented, but I sometimes will check behind on turn. I realize we need to protect our hand/get value, but it manages the pot size well and we can pick off bluffs/value bet on safe rivers

A lot of people who do this on the flop will wait for the turn to c/r a big hand. I'm not saying that's the case here, just a thought. You'd think a good player capable of c/r lite will use that image to c/r strong as well, but that's not always the case.

What are villain's BB stats? can you construct a range from those? I ask, b/c, if villain is TAG oop pf, the hands that he flats w/ and hits this flop hit it pretty hard. Hands like 55-88, 79s, 86s, 76s, 87s, 56s, ... It seems like from what you say, he would c/r his pair + str8 draws and to c/r the turn w/ those hands seems pretty spewy. So, I guess I'm leaning towards a range that has 2 pair + and air (a small % of the time). For now, I like a fold.

Tough spot for sure. His raise size is very suspicious.. so large.

If you have been c-betting a ton, he could easily have a Qx float here, Q8/Q9 are definite possibilities. Maybe Q7s if he's been calling light in the BB. Maybe a stubborn AQ if he hasn't been 3-betting often.

There's definitely a chance he has a semibluff here and worse 8x in his range, but I'd prefer to fold here without a stronger read on his range. It IS a good spot to c/r a draw though since you have an aggressive image, it's a board where he can rep quite a few hands.

if he doesnt slowplay big hands on this board or c/raise Q's here, his range is probably mostly gutshots that floated the flop and improved on the turn/straight draws and maybe the occasional 2 pairs.. it looks like he's full of shit tbh

Thanks for all of your responses.
I don´t use VPIP based on position but he was not tight OOP.
I thought he would c/r a hand like Q9 on the flop based on earlier action.
I´m pretty sure he wasn´t floating me either, had not cbet that often.
He had Q7 and i stacked of, didn´t think he would raise that hand because
what i have is in the lower end of my range.
