I'm really not understanding Hero's 3betting range here alot. Not that long ago he 3bet K9s on the left table, and IIRC from video 1 we saw him 3bet some 89s type stuff. In addition (also a IIRC) he 3bet KQ in video 1. However, he seems happy to defense QTo.
Just seems like we are very Qx heavy compared to Kx and that we are also 3betting a lot of hands that I feel are a little too good to open ourselves up to a 4bet, especially when they play so well in a lower SPR pot heads up.

Yea I tend to agree. QTo and K9s are v similar hands that are nice for just defending unless you're playing against a guy who is calling with tons of junk to 3bets and/or playing weakly postflop.
This vid was recorded several months ago and I think Simon would play several of these spots differently today.

I might be reading this wrong but are they only opening like 60% of buttons? The stats are not labeled but I believe the top window that shows the last few pots and who won has an average vpip for both players and that is showing like 60/50.
nah ignore the hud it's a 6max one

3:31 - U were talking about donking dynamics, and in the next hand our hero checks this monotone board without consideration about donking.
is here some value (in villan eyes) about this sizing ? should he be more encouraged (is this correct ? O_O) to 3barrel here ?
7:28 IMO it's bad to check KQ on this board, because his preflop range is more Tx Qx Jx heavy than 7x/6x heavy (he is playing TAGish style + we are 3betting close to 19% on both tables) = you have good amount fold equity + some implied odds with You overcards (if he decide to peel sometimes with Qx or jx with backdoors). he didnt show will preflop to be tought and out of line so there is no reason to check and give him pot - it's better to bet and put more pressure on him.
sorry for my english again, great video. Thank You Aaron and best regards

25:07 - Ax hand on 898 T 8. Imo we should call, in 1st part and 2nd part we were damn weak tight after checking back flop in SRP = villan is exploiting hero pretty hard :-)

I think there is some extra incentive to want to barrel here after the guy just shows a donk/fold, since the guy who donk/folded might want to strengthen his perceived range by donking something stronger here...however you have to be careful with assumptions like this. After all, doesn't really consider donk betting QJ, it becomes a bit of a stretch to assume that he's looking for opportunities to donk strong hands. (not saying QJ is necessarily a strong hand here but it is one he could consider donking to induce with).

starting by always betting here is ok, just be aware that good opponents will not allow you to always cbet your air here without fighting back. The same reasons you give for wanting us to cbet could be the same reasons villain can have to want to raise us. In general though I agree, we should not adjust until villain makes us adjust, but if we know the guy is good/smart we should be willing to check/fold here without any extra equity.

could be true, hard to know, but this board texture is one that should connect with villain a lot and that river is really bad for him to bluff... so it just depends on if we think villain is going to barrel off here when it looks like we're calling. Keep in mind that most of hero's busted draws are out of hero's range because we didnt' cbet the flop, so it looks like we have showdown value and that river is pretty good for A high...
Thanks for watching!
