I feel like he just has KT here so often (or maybe Kx with a heart, but a lot of people don't like playing raggy unsuited kings from the BB) and is checking to check call that we have to bet; its just one of those times where only a single hand makes sense. If he had air or basically air on the river he would definitely continue betting because there are a lot of hands we check back the river with (my main consideration here), also, if he had a really strong hand he'd just keep betting for the same reason. His line is weird so I can understand hesitating, but I guess the bottom line for me is that he's just never checking the river with value or bluffs. Once he does check river I feel like he just has to have a K that somehow played it this way.

Its one of those spots where everything up till the river is confusing but based on his river action you can chop out a TON of his range and make a really good decision. His check defines his range extremely well.
