Happy birthday!Smile

I have a question also, seeing him showdown Q8s here in a spot where he didnt 3bet preflop, how will this affect your view of his 3betting and calling range?

Since he had been quite tight so far (around 35 VPIP in BB) and a highish 3bet of 20 would this make you think that he is 3betting the top part of his range and calling with weaker stuff like Q8s?

If he is 3betting a polarized range then it seems a bit difficult for him to also call with Q8s given how tight he is and how high his 3bet stat is in comparison to his VPIP in the BB.

in the A8 hand on T2, do you think the opponent would ever expect you to check/call nutted hands on the turn? What about check-raise?

don't you think you rep 99+ just as much as Ax? obv this depends how many Ax you 4bet bluff and value bet but i think he could justify a turn ship to get you off of those PP?

I dunno this is a weird spot like you say. If he happened to dk bet QK or QJ you think he would still shove turn? I dunno if he would even dk bet K hi or not? maybe he had BD FDs he would?

what do you think about folding turn here due to his low turn bet overall? yeah you have a gutshot but that doesnt really improve your overall equity that much and implied odds are not great when the board runs out to make the straight.

i don't think he'd expect you to ever really check nutted hands. if you check/call, he's def not thinking you're very strong. when he gets checkraised, he's probably thinking epic draw or nuts.

I like this point a lot, very valuable idea to understand...... I mean the general idea is that when you value bet you have to be able to rep a bluff, so if ShipTheFliip were to check back the turn with an Ax hand he's really not going to get value from us on the river by worse... for one our draws missed but more importantly he's repping basically exactly what he has.
