I wasn't talking about my play - I'm only checking back if I brick. I mean does it makes sense as villain to check every hand (and go for a CR if they improve to a pat hand)?
It doesnt make sense to checkraise EVERY time you go from 2-pat, but sometimes its fine if your opponent is willing to draw rougher after the first draw since you checked thus showing lack of improvement. But be careful, if you always checkraise going 2-pat then youre basically never pat when you lead, and aggro opponents can pounce on this. Sometimes bet, sometimes cr - easy game huh?

But I've seen players who never lead EVER in that spot (presumably because their opponent was the pre-flop aggressor so "should" always bet the flop).
Also if your opponent does always bet the flop, you can CR a bunch of one-card draws as well as pats if you want.
Not that I agree with the "never lead" strategy, but just seeing the logic behind it.
