I just feel like when BT is drawing 1 or especially when he's pat (unlikely) that we want to be drawing to an 8 rather than patting a 9. If we knew he was drawing 2, then I'd be more on board with patting as that would obv give us more fold equity on the turn.

Tecmo, first we don't know if Btn is drawing 1 (or Pat), he could be drawing 2, in which case breaking is a mistake. Also, when we break, we're only breaking to draw at an 87, so its not like were going to be making significantly stronger hands that we can make a bunch of bets with when we hit.
I like the pat on the flop. I think Ch/F Turn could be good if I've seen this line a couple times as nuts from our opponent. Otherwise I play it the same and fold river unless opponent has been making some strange plays recently that would indicate he doesn't really understand the game.
I don't really like C/R much, but could see just lead patting potentially is villain is the type to break easily.

That's the point though. We don't know. So we have to decide how best to play the hand vs his entire range of drawing 2, drawing 1, and standing pat. I'm not saying I'm right, but we need to consider those times when he is drawing 1 or pat and decide how often that happens and if it's enough to make us want to break here.
I agree that drawing to an 87 isn't ideal though. If it were a 76 instead, then I think it becomes a clear break, no?

tecmo i have an auto bet and we know he is not pat because he would raise (obv im talking about nornaml play it turns out he doesn't play the normal style)
so he is either drawing 1 or 2 thats his range now and i think with this draw breaking is a mistake but i would break a 67 like always
