SCOOP-L ($27) Stud8 MTT. Obv the field was pretty soft. I'm no Stud8 player but people were calling and raising any 3 cards that could make a low on 3rd or go crazy with 2 pair against obv made low boards while getting freerolled.

Anyway... I've been folding forever and my last 2 pots won were steals. I thought that this was also a good steal spot since I have a great potential for a high hand but could also back into a low .. and I can represent almost anything. I obv get into a sticky spot .. is this a standard call down hoping to get half the pot? Am I getting scooped here so often that I should fold 6th/7th? Should I just fold on 3rd?

Keep in mind that the bring-in in seat 8 should never fold any hand in this spot, he obviously made a mind-blowingly horrific fold with whatever he had, but you can't expect anyone to do that. So you have to consider your best case scenario as flipping for the antes with seat 8, versus a normal steal spot where you can hope to win the pot outright. So I think this is a marginal steal spot anyway with players who can afford to play a pot having low cards behind you, but given that you have virtually no chance of stealing the antes I think it makes the steal pretty bad.
