i think calling and drawing 2 is actually pretty bad here and id either 3bet or fold. you've already said the 2's are usually dead and then you said that maybe later you can make 34678 or 34679 and try have it hold up, well why cant we draw 1, make those sort of hands and have them hold that way.

Did I say the deuces are most likely dead? I don't know if I feel that way right this second, I mean fish limped, he doesn't need to have one, first pro overlimped, maybe he isn't as good a deuce player as we think and thinks this is the best way to play a weakish 3 card no deuce hand like 368 or something, button most likely has one, but that's not so bad. I'd rather maximize our chance to pick up a real hand by drawing 2 than bloating with this ugly hand and taking 1 and hoping to hold. I do think just flat out folding immediately is looking like the best option though since all the other ones seem so tainted.

It definitely seems like we are trying to come up with good reasons and parlays to make playing this hand viable. When that happens, I generally just fold and move on. Even if I'm sometimes giving up a small amount of EV, it's certainly not much and prevents me from somehow getting myself into sticky situations unnecessarily.

are you talking about checking entire range only in small pots or generally speaking?

Was speaking pretty much generally, a short summary would be that people seem to play bad if you check to them in 2:2 on the turn, so you should let them and then try to balance it
