ok i dont want to fill it up with n posts so ill use a declarative timeline ![]()
2:24 this is a common troublesome situation and yea i c/r usually here but what do when 3bet? call and maybe fold to a river bet? or break? whats the plan?
16:50 to hjd and dd, isn't this value town with no4 unless we know lg is sooo tight (i think that was mentioned by hjd in the previous one) like ppl raise 1:1 there with all 8's except 876 which they freeze
33:10 are you willing to keep the 9 if u play in the sb with this hand also?
if you are ip are you tossing the 9 if the sb is drawing 1? if you get raised form the sb do u 3bet/keep 9 always?
40:00 first of all thats a great hand
if profic is not pat, isn't a freeze better than a raise/fold?
42:20 do u call here 34799 from sb cause of profic in the picture? we have a good player in the bb and no deuce, would u like to 3bet play it as 1cd?
Fwiw the real time stamp thing works better because I can click the links and go right to the spot in the video. Anyway, at commerce / traveling for a few days so will reply more later, thanks.

I would also usually c/r this hand but at the time i thought the guy was really passive and probably wouldnt have too many weak hands so i went with the safer approach i guess. i realised straight away that i was wrong though and this is a clear c/r even if i got max value by playing slow here
Snowboard: if i 3bet id just call down probably, but call/fold wouldnt be bad against most people.

LT: something similiar but shorter went through my mind i think. i dont think patting and barreling (otr as a bluff) would be a bad play either but given that we know any 87 is the nuts if we make it i like breaking here. its close though and even just patting, betting, and checking down may not be terrible give that he's taken lines similiar to this and shown some T9's.
Time Link to 00:10:40
by unorthodox you mean terrible right?
i was probably gonna c/c #6 and possibly #5 too. if he's goofing around with some trash he probably will just fold it anyway
Time Link to 00:12:31
RT: i actually can go either way. sometimes i keep the 9 and sometimes i play it as a 2cd. the random generator i use is whatever my brain wants ![]()
Time Link to 00:13:06
LT: i was kinda annoyed at myself here as the pause from me playing the other table makes me look super strong and allows him a chance to consider my hand. if i bet/pat/bet quicker i think i get the call ![]()
Time Link to 00:14:44
RT: ok this is pretty nonstandard i guess. i think Waadd has alot more weak hands than you give him credit for. certainly he has alot of 9's imo. these are the hands im targeting obviously. once he b/c's and pats with that sort of timing i was pretty sure he was never folding the river, and its really likely that either 86 i can make is the nuts and he will pay off everytime. for that reason i think drawing>continuing with the bluff at this point. if i had 87554 i may continue but i still dont think he's folding so maybe not
cliffs: timimg tell, reads and being able to make the best hand made me draw.
Time Link to 00:16:53
LT: this is actually a pretty gross spot vs alot of people. 1. its a protected pot. 2. he's repping supreme strength (every action so far has been a raise). I also feel like i have a good intuition on how he plays various spots. even if i cant know before hand i usually make the correct plays against him for some reason and here i just didnt think he'd raise too many hands (maybe #8+). also if i do 3bet, straight folding to a 4bet is probably the best play, but who folds #4 ott getting 14:1? not me so id have to call down losing an extra bet few bets vs #2+ (im not sure he even caps #3). against some other people id probably 3bet, but here i like my calldown decision. at worst im losing a small % of a bet.
Time Link to 00:17:11
LT: i wasnt 3betting here because both the blinds were playing pretty tight, and the BB isnt exactly a reg and i dont mind if he calls as he'll be making some mistakes, especially with the set of hands that would fold to a 3bet but call if i call.
Time Link to 00:20:30
LT: given his turn c/c i kinda hate my check back here i think. he is basically always drawing to a 9 and even though thats live alot, he'll payoff with any worse 9 and probably a T.
Time Link to 00:26:20
RT: JK is a good midstakes reg, and i think in the camp of raise your T's there. so im not breaking this hand. he can definitely follow through otr with a bluff, but he'll also value bet almost every better hand so i also think i like the fold as an exploitative play. as a default i think we should call here though as we have alot of worse hands and this is probably top 50% of hands that get here this way.
