Your best bet with number 2 is to learn how to play 8 game, since that runs most often. This runs on stars, and I'd suggest watching some horse videos before jumping in it, as well as learning/brushing up on 6 max he and plo. (This is obviously not optimal for a beginner, as it can be overwhelming, but it's the best games to get in a RSE rotation.)
Given the differing blind/ante structures of big bet vs fixed-limit games, you don't really have to be great at the big bet games to hold your own, right? If you're pretty mediocre you'll get your blinds stolen all the time, of course, but hopefully you'll keep yourself out of huge postflop trouble. If they suck at stud games, they'll ante away a lot more than you blind away.
If they're robbing you blind in the two BB games and you're beating them at the 3 stud games, plus holding your own in the other 3 fixed-limit games, i'd think you'd do ok.
If you track each game separately (any consensus on how best to do this?) then you can easily tell if you're progressing in the stud games and you can decide whether to learn NLHE, etc. accordingly. And that's what i love about mixed games: Almost every video on this site can help you get better at the 8- to 10-game!

3. I highly suggest getting Stud Indicator to play multiple tables: Click here to see demo.
Thanks for the link to the demo. Chillolini recommended it also. And now I've seen the demo I imagine if I got it I'd never live without it. Question...does it store all your HHs like HEM does and have a built-in re-player where you can sift through and view your hands after the fact? Demo and FAQ didn't really mention that.

You mentioned FTP is better for learning and suggested PS 8-game for the RSE rotation...what are your thoughts on FTP's 10-game?
That includes Badugi which I also love to play sometimes. And there are usually always 10-game micro tables running when I've taken a look.
Any thoughts on FTP 10 versus PS 8 if you don't mind the extra two games in the mix?

That's a pretty cool way to look at it. I've been somewhat wary of 10-game, although I do enjoy it in small bursts. I'm pretty bad at LHE, I have very little 2-7 TD experience, and I'm almost willing to lay money that I'm the worst PLO player at DC!

So true! And I love Badugi. It's my secret vice. It's the game where I don't really seem able to progress to the point of turning a consistent profit of any kind but I play it anyway I just enjoy it so much.
Also, do you have any experience with FTP 10 versus PS 8? I was asking ceegee also for thoughts on this. Just wondered what the differences if any tend to be in the RSE part between the sites in the big mixes, or if the trends just mimic those of both sites that appear for the games when played separately...if that makes sense...

Watch the "luck of the draw" -series here on DC, theyre amazing.
As for SI, you cant review sessions like you can in HEM/PT, but you do get a simple, but very effective HUD, and it saves your, and your opponents data, giving you accurate win/lose, PFR, vpip, WSD, AGF. Also it displayes the deadcards, making it a lot easier to play more tables. I have been able to 6table razz profitably with it

Essentially it's just more work to learn the extra two games, and for a beginner I'd stick to 8 game until you really have a solid grasp of it, and then learn draw games.
