5/10 PL BOT different day than the other hand. Villain is tight but seems pretty bad, especially OOP where he does not seem to like folding with any semireasonable prospect. He seems fairly straightforward and honest so far. Earlier he called pot 3bet preflop for about $120 on the button predraw with a 2 card draw in 2-7 triple draw then called pot with a 1 card draw when I was pat and then called my pot shove after he successfully sucked out on me which brings him to having roughly $1800 at the start of this hand, I cover.
Game is 4 handed.
Villain limps on the button, I pot to $40 in the small blind with A
4
6
bb folds and villain calls, we both draw 1
My assumption here is that he cannot be drawing at better than an 8 predraw right off the bat as he would not just limp/call with a strong draw imo.
I catch the 7
to make my Badugi.
I bet $80, he raises $150 more.
I do what?
I'm conflicted with my assumption that he cannot have a strong hand here and wanting to raise to get more money in or the fact that he cannot have a big hand meaning he will just fold a crappy hand instead. If he were to 4bet a 3bet here then I guess I'd have to reform my assumption and just give him credit for a hand much better than mine and fold. The structure of a draw game make this much more confusing than a NLHE hand because calling here to "trap" c/r him the next street seems terrible. Similarly calling here, calling turn and betting some amount on the river also seem bad.
