I am currently playing 1/2 LHE 6max* and am dabbling in OH8. I am planning on moving down because when I play LHE because I am playing a bit above my bankroll -- right now I am clearing a bonus on FTP and get rakeback. I didn't think I had to worry about losing too much in 2 weeks and have ended up doing pretty well.

Comparing 6max LHE and 6max OH8, OH8 has lower variance. If the 500 big bet guideline is accurate, I should be okay. Are there other reasons not mentioned in the video to play Oh8 instead of LHE? I notice multitabling is far easier.

*Have been and almost certain will again be primarily a NLHE player. I started playing limit again after watching "The Price is Right".

Sorry I am so late to this thread, I just found it. The thing it to be able to play all the games, not "instead of", unless you are looking for a replacement of a game. If you can play patiently tight, O8 may be just teh game for you.
