meh, can't edit the topic? :l

Any thoughts? Fold pf? I guess i'd want an ace suit but was feeling like playing some pots. I just thought he would continue here with most of his high hands and decided get some value from lows peeling. Not really sure what that turn c/r is but i thought he might've turned like nfd with nut low draw and something to go with it... river "bricked" in a sense... the 6 is in his range sure but i decided to bluff catch. Not too familiar with his O8 or any game for that matter cause a bluff here is a bit silly cause im not folding a king.

i prob play it the same, but its opp dependent and i don't mind river fold.

His turn c/r screams semi-bluff. i'd expect to see him with the A-spades a huge % of the time here. Problem is AsAxx, things that caught 6x are a big part of turn range. the main thing you beat is A2spades so if he's agro and capable of that then call.

I might chk behind the turn in some spots too

You took your stab on the flop, nothing folds the turn, take the free card, esp in a trny with your decent chip stack.

I understand the turn check and that was my thought also.

My question is preflop. I guess I should preface this by saying I am mainly a cash game player, but my first thought was a 3 bet to not let the button and blinds in cheaply. Obviously it didn't matter in this hand, but it could have. We seem to have a relatively strong two way hand that would have more value 3 handed instead of a possible crowd. Am I thinking about this correctly?

Gergery wins this thread I agree w/everything he says.

In a donkament I would checkback because of chip preservation.

nit! I like betting because he would have to have a hand he didn't rep on the flop, AA2 of spades for us to be in a bad spot as we have a lot of low outs as well I think we have to much value to check back the turn with our gutshot, low draw, and two pair outs IF we are behind.

I am in favor of taking a free card on the turn. If we picked up a BDFD I'd probably bet, but just picking up the second nut BDLD does not make me want to put more chips in the pot.
