Why are we checking 4th street after he completely bricked? Even though he might think we have diamonds, we still could have the case Q or a pocket pair, and he knows that we know he probably has a busted 3-low. So there's not much he can do besides fold or make an optimistic loose peel.
Mistag of Stud hi?
Mistag of Stud hi?
Yeah, kind of like when someone sits at a 30/60 Stud8 table thinking it's a Stud hi table.

Seems to me like he possibly started with 456 rainbow here, which is a hand he would definitely raise 5th with.
I agree that he probably woulda reraised 3rd with 2 baby
s.
He might also have 7s and 6s with a baby here and raise in case we have 4lows and a pair (his backdoorlowdraw would then be better than our lowdraw...) although he might just call with that and jam 6th in case we brick.
All in all I prefer the call just because I think 45667 is quite a big part of his range here.
...or do you think that kind of player would have reraised 3rd with 654 rainbow here?
Also: How would you play 654 rainbow in his position here?
And last but not least: Thanks a lot for this series. I didn't think I'd be able to learn so much new stuff about my favourite game in such short time ![]()
Joe: I play alot of holdem but looking to allocate some of my time to learning new games.
What is the best basics video series for Stud and Stud8?
Obviously I have no real questions other than
How important are card removal from door cards in hand playability in general?
And do you have any shortcut techniques for remembering folded door cards, and shortcuts for counting outs in game?
Apologies if this was not the place to ask these questions.
Thanks for the videos - I watch all of yours even if just for educational osmosis ![]()

O!M!G!!!
(my first instinct was: "Oh crap, we're getting quartered", then: "Let's hope he's 3betting 3s full here." "Well, cap should still be right against THAT guy"...
...still can't believe what they actually have...

I'll get to the specific hand questions at another time, I have 5 mins online right now, I made a Stud Hi playlist, in order, here: http://www.deucescracked.com/playlists/3811
As for all other games, start with the first 4 episodes of Donk To Stud, which is other games specifically for Holdem Players.
Thank you sir. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
On Pokerstars - what is the limit I should start with given high rake in some of these games.
I have a mid 4 figure overall online BR.

The 10/20 games can be great. Very low variance since the ante is so small. You can just play tight and wait for premium hands. (Same thing applies to the 5/10 games - in both the ante = 1/10 small bet)

I agree with the bet 4th. He should fold most of his range to a bet. He may continue with a hand like 566 or a decent pocket pair or maybe a three low with an ace and some suits... but I think he is folding many hands.

Hmmm he can also be raising with a pair+3low to try to fold the high hand behind him I think (in that case you are the only low draw). And when he sees that no one is folding he is not going to cap.

lol i haven't seen the result when i wrote the post before. but i played in the 30/60 sometimes and I know those two players involved are very aggressive. The player with the Q is very aggressive too and I've seen him make that play in 4th with only one pair some more times.
