Villain is unknown and appears to be new and inexperience at triple draw, but hasn't done anything completely irrational. I think folding after 2nd is reasonable, but thought he might be patting some worse 9s and some Ts and Js because he is likely new to the game, (I haven't seen him do this before however). Anyone like the freeze, then fold?

I think you're beat a large percentage of the time here. However, since you say he's new and don't have any info on him, I might make the donkish call just to see what he's patting. I really don't mind losing a small pot to gain some info.

And if you happen to have the best hand, well then that's an added bonus!

I like the freeze, not sure I like the fold against a beginner, I see lots of horrible hands just bet here for no reason as they don't seem to recognise the freezeplay and completely misread your hand. Breaking sucks because an 8 hardly improves us and a 2 is hard to catch, and drawing 2 kills our equity too, and he did go from 2 to pat. With some basic reads you can fold to his riverbet.
