I'm not sure my open was even good...but I didn't think it could be terrible. Once 4th hits like it does I should just dump it right?

I don't want to hijack this thread, but can you explain why a pair of aces is such a good hand? I saw in a book and in videos that it's often worth a raise, but I can't really figure out why. Joe Tall stressed that you want to scoop pots and AAQ rarely does. Also your high hand is strong now but doesn't always hold up, so you pretty much just fighting for a high hand which you will win a fair amount of the time. Sorry for the donkisch question.

Bah, you could limp in loosey games, but still like the completion, peel 4th, the pot is sizeable and spades are dead, in fact, I'd be tempted to raise if I knew they would fold behind me, however, looks like that is not happening in this game, call and raise 5th if it falls bad on them.

It's still Aces, and Aces cannot be out paired! There is plenty of value in them, you just have to be careful multiway.

Do you hate the fold 5 ways? I was a little sick when the hands got to showdown and the guy with the KSpade 8Spade ended up having AK8K and with a two suit and lost to something like 4's and 5's with no one making a low.

I was really worried about something like seat 6 jamming behind me since he catches pretty well and ending up in a tough spot playing for what is likely going to be half the pot with a bunch of donkeys who price themselves in to try to out draw me. I was really close to peeling but these guys really play such donkish hands that I was worried that I would end up folding the best hand the times seat 2 catches a spade and bets again or seat 6 pairs an undercard but reps his low and I am stuck with a measly one pair 3-4 ways.
