in general what hands do you defend with in full 6 max game?
maybe this question is too vague but whatever insight you all can give would be cool.
i'm wondering if i'm defending too much and should be tighter in bb.
i forgot if this was covered in triple the gold? i know it covered good
starting hands but i didn't how much you adjust in bb?
thanks.

would you just keep ur normal range vs other early position or middle position raisers? what if there's multiple callers between you and the early/mid position opener?
i think i'm doing ok with remembering position for me opening / calling
in other positions but i haven't thought much about adjusting my range in the bb vs the opener's position (early/mid/late).
thanks again

Against button the worst hand I defend is 37, against CO/HJ/UTG I pitch any 3x if I respect the player. If UTG raises I'm always defending 2w though.
I think this range is ok if you're comfortable & experienced at the game. For a beginner (which it sounds like you are), I would probably recommend tightening this range slightly. Folding all 3 card draws to an UTG open hu and only defending 2w against a late position opener. If the pots multiway though, I would always defend 2w in the BB for one more bet.

u don't specify the stakes you play at but you need to be conscious of the rake. there are many levels below, say, $10/$20 where the rake is so harsh that you should really think twice about defending with a range wider than the open-raiser's. (be more liberal vs a small blind open-raise for obvious reasons).

i don't have any hands below 2/4 in my db, and the rake there and upto 5/10 see a rake/pot % between 3 an 3.5 when 2 people see the first draw (which i consider harsh). looking at PS rake structure, at .5/1 it seems you're raked 5% when the BB calls the open raiser and every subsequent called bet is raked another 5% so that you'll be raked exactly 5% unless the final pot is greater than 10 big bets. extrapolating from my 2/4 data, >10 BB pots will happen less than 3% of the time (when 2 people see draw 1 and there was no pre-draw 3-bet) so i'll ignore them.
so yeah, unless i perceive a post-draw skill gap, i would not defend the BB with a range significantly wider than the open-raiser's. thin edges and high rakes don't mix well.
