Hi

So i have started playing this wonderful game and logged about 5k hands over the last few days. so far I am a slightly losing player obv Frown around -.05BB/100 at stakes from .50 up to 2/4 with most hands logged at 1/2

Obviously i have tons of work to do and still making pretty basic errors, but I am sure there are huge mistakes being made in these games. like guys who cap it pre draw and then draw 2 or 3!

Anyway it lead me to thinking about relevant sample sizes and win rates (like how can they be winning!).

up to 3/6 you cn probably win 3-4BB/100 if you're really good. 30k breakeven/losing streaks wouldnt be uncommon, so 40-50k hands would be necessary imo and more is better.

Yeah it seems the swinginess and relative unpopularity of TD means it takes ages to get any clue about your expected win rate (by which stage your opponents, their play and your play would have changed to the point where it's no longer accurate anyway). You can't get enough volume and it's not like you could 6-table TD even if there were 6 tables running.
