Hi
I am a complete noob to this game, basically just watched triple the gold and dived straight in
So I have some questions that might be totally basic that came up in my second ever session, so help and going easy on my would be appreciated
1) So in general say we have a smooth draw like 235/236 OOP in Sb/BB etc and its opened in EP and the btn 3 bets. I assume we call and draw if its gets called by OR, and if it gets capped continue and draw? If we dont improve on the first draw do we dump it (assuming always going to get bet) or peel and go again?
Sorry its not a specific hand I just happend to write down this when playing
2) Also in general I know we bet when we are a card ahead, say we draw 2 with a 235 type hand and villain draws three and again we are OOP. We get called and dont improve do we fire again or do we now check call?
Basically I find myself just blindly firing alot in this game (this could be correct). But, I am a nhle player normally not limit so feel a tad lost
3) If we do call say from the blinds and draw 2 and say villain did from btn. We ch/call the first draw and improve do we now lead the turn?
thx and I will be posting spots which I am sure I murdered later

1) Yes, usually call pre. Call on the flop as well, unless it's 2 bets to you.
2) Don't bet. Your draw is no longer ahead, he will have made a 2-card-draw or better over half the time.
3) Did BTN bet the flop unimproved, there?
If you are both drawing the same number of cards, then yes, bet out if you improve. Otherwise, check-call if you catch up or check-raise if you are pat.

thx for answers
to 2) do u then ch/call in this spot as if he has a 2 card draw we also have a smooth 2 card draw as well?
3) you mean he drew 2 on pre flop and bet the flop and then drew 2 on the flop? yes thats what i mean
I have been ch/rasining actually when i go from 2 to pat in this spot so glad i have done something correct

Basically if you drew fewer cards than your opponent, you should always bet. Likewise if you drew more cards, always let him bet.
Exceptions are on the river and the 3:2 spot for the reason Rubbish gave above.

answer to question 1. it depends, usually a fold imo with 235 and 236. if it's 237 or 247, i miiiiight consider cold calling the 3b there vs the right opponents.
If it's just one single raise and folds to you in the sb or bb, yea, 235 and 236 can both be played for one single raised pot.

I notice some players check their whole range even when they drew the same number of cards. For instance I open in late pos, one of the blinds calls, we go 2:2, I brick, he checks, I check back, he pats. Any merit to this? I do it myself against really aggro players.

Unless raisers are shockingly nitty I'm never folding any of these pre for 3 bets

I suppose if ou balance the checking back range it's ok. I wouldn't check back every time though
I wasn't talking about my play - I'm only checking back if I brick. I mean does it makes sense as villain to check every hand (and go for a CR if they improve to a pat hand)?

What if u draw the same? I.e we are IP and it goes 2:1 on the flop, turn goes 1:1 we still bet?
Or does it depend on the strength of our draw, like if we drawing to a 87 ch is better (in case we get c/r or put in a weird spot) and bet if we have a wheel draw etc

No and no. These are both long concepts to write out general rules for in a forum but also relatively easy ones, most of these fundamentals I discussed in many of the Triple the Gold videos fwiw
