Pre Draw: (1.5 SB) Hero is BTN with Q Heart J Heart 8 Diamond 4 Heart 2 Spade
UTG folds, MP folds, CO folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls

First Draw: (4.5 SB) (2 players)
BB draws 2, Hero draws 2
Hand: Q Diamond 8 Diamond 8 Spade 4 Heart 2 Spade
BB checks, Hero checks

Second Draw: (2.25 BB) (2 players)
BB draws 2, Hero draws 2
Hand: Q Club T Heart 8 Diamond 4 Heart 2 Spade
BB checks, Hero ?

It seems there are a lot of options here. These include betting and patting the Q (so long as he draws). What a good plan of action? Or should I just mix it up a bit?

i usually bet here and draw to the T but if villain is usually check/calling this spot drawing 1 i also check/draw to the T
interested to hear about what others do

i dont like patting the queen unless i have QJ and the pot is huge actually or i have something like 5679Q or something

start by betting, he'll fold alot. id pat and ck if he draws and just b/f if he c/r's. if he does c/c alot, then checking and drawing 1 is good.

Thanks. I didn't think the ten was worth drawing to with a QT. I mean in NLSD if it folds round to me on the button with a QT I'll open and pat.

I bet the turn, he called and drew one, I patted and we checked down the river. Then I thought that if I start showing down queens in this spot I could be exploited.

the difference is that u can vbet a T,J on the river an u can't do this with the queen and also u can catch bluffs so it has 1 extra BB value when u hit (and he doesn't) but its close i think

Basically agree with HJD/Snowboard. I think a lot of players at this level are pretty passive in this spot, Ch/C'ing all their 1-card draws, so it might be correct check behind against an unknown.

As played, close on whether to pat or break, I definitely draw to a 98.
