Cutoffs 4th hand at table, folded first 3 hands, hijack has played 1 orbit and only shown hand was opening UTG in holdem with K9s and flopping nuts. Wondering if there is any merit to cap pre. As played anything different to be done?

You're calling the river @ 6.5 to 1 remember.

I fold as well.

I don't cap pre w/a strong hi hand or a nut suit. TBH I'd need both you're OOP. OTB it's a lot closer imo but Would prob need like AQ23 w/a nut suit in that spot. Then again w/someone cc'ing 3 w/Jacks in this game capping the AQT2 OTB will surely be an equity edge play.

I fold the river. I play the other streets different ways. Sometimes cap preflop, sometimes lead turn sometimes c/r. Occasionally the way you did.

I often check-raise this flop, sometimes lead it, depends on the gap in agressiveness for SB between PF and the flop - if he's likely to bet most reasonably non-scary flops then I check-raise, you should like your hand on the flop a lot. Nut low draw, 2 over cards, gutshot to nut straight. No flush draws so you probably don't have *any* discounted outs.

I probably lead the turn because I'd hate to see it get checked through.

River sucks, I'd probably fold it too.

what are we hoping to accomplish if we lead turn after c/c the flop?

To get value from worse lows to go with your high draw and to avoid it getting checked around. Typically against players with a low vpip it's a bad idea as A2 is a huge part of their range, but conversely you'll get value from looser players, if only extra 1/2 bets, from worse lows like A3/A4.
