hi all,

i've just been added as an LHE coach here at DC, and am accepting new students at this time. i wanted to post this thread just to say that i'm happy to try and answer any questions that might come up, either here, or feel free to send me a PM. i look forward to working with all of you here on the site!

BBB is such a good player and his rate is so low, that he is basically inviting you to rob both him and your opponents. This is so +EV, it's the equivalent of taking everyone's cookies AND taking all the cookies Danzasmack took from everyone before you got there to take them. Or something.

For serious, literally for years, BBB has been one of the few posters on 2+2 who is always worth reading. Like Oink, BBB has that rare ability to be a great player and to be great at explaining how he and other great players think about poker.

I agree. My first exposure to winning poker thinking was on the 2+2 micro forums and BBB was by far my favorite poster.

I started working with BBB about 3 weeks ago after 3 years of fumbling around and barely breaking even. After just a couple of sessions I can say he has helped me to understand some fundamental things I just had not grasped before. I, for one, will continue to use him. For what he charges, there is no better value, IMHO.

I don't play limit anymore, but i do know bbb from the time that i did play it; and he does know what he is talking about

hi guys, i think i'm going to start making some videos and putting them on my coaching page or something, so i can get some exposure, get some practice making videos, and hopefully also get the make-video-rungood. i guess i am posting this so that now it's out there, and i don't have any excuse for putting it off much longer!

BBB quick Question if I may

Would you mind if a student recorded the video and audio of the coaching sessions that you did for his/her own use? Not for distribution obv, (why would I want to show people for free how I was being coached and where all my weaknesses were (long vid but hey)??), but just in case there was something I felt like I needed an instant refresher/revision session on, or felt like burning to my Ipod for the times I'm bored as hell at work and watching Shouldn't Fold for the 23rd time doesn't quite feel right at the time ?

hey boomer,

i would be fine with something like that. after all, it's your time/info that you're paying for, and i think both of us want you to get the most out of it that you can. and if recording say a video or a sweat session or a skype convo means that no information gets lost, and that it's easily review-able, then i'm all for it, as it benefits both of us.

i do agree that i would ask that it remain private, obviously, for the main reasons you already mentioned. a lot of the coaches on this site already make videos using screen share or replayer, and send them to their students anyway. and i assume lots of folks save chat conversations on AIM/MSN/etc already. so, there are already precedents

I was contemplating a session tonight but figured that playing while in pain, while good for the aggression, is probably bad for focus and tilt control
