I probably should have typed this up a long time ago. Although, I think it's better now since I had time to put what I learned into action.
Alright, I took 6 sessions of private 1-on-1 coaching with Nan (Blah234) a few months back. I used to play 25nl-50nl 6max, and was just a mindless button clicker. So, my results weren't good at all.

After I got coaching, Nan taught me how to think about poker and refine my strategies. I would go into greater detail, but then I'd feel like I would be spewing the coaching that I paid for. In general, he helped me understand poker through the lens of EV. As you might have known, Nan quotes Bruce Lee often, and he expresses it in his poker. He doesn't view styles, lines of bluff/value, but he views every action in terms of EV.
From Blah234, I was given a mindset and better fundamentals to own other people with. Shortly after his coaching, I played a lot of 2/5 live. I can't tell you how many villains (regs/fishes) that I've drowned at the river. I wish I could post a graph to back it up, but I can't. Instead, I recently started playing 100nl online again, and I'll post that graph up instead. I know it's a small sample size, but you can really tell the difference.

Thanks Nan, and I hope to get coaching from you again once I hit mid-stakes ![]()
