hi guys,
I had the group coaching with blah quite a time ago (yes I am a lazy ass).
the reason why Im writing the review of this now (month later) is, that I recorded the sessions and listened to it again over and over. It keeps me motivated, thats why I am doing this review!
First of all: I am playing poker for about 3-4years, from last year on I thought I learned quite a shitload and start to get a "better" player (was slightly winning since I started pretty much). To be honest... after the first coaching session my brain was like fucked, I realized I was playing like a freaking morron but somehow still winning. I must admit, I was a donk (althought I thought I was "crushing those fish")
So,... we had a small coaching group and we did 4 sessions with everyone being about 1,5hours.
every session was about some complete different topic combined with a HH review (4 hands each session). He talked about the basic aspects and concepts of poker, which I was a bit scepticaly at the beginning because I thought Im already knowing "enough of the basics".. but I was wrong lol.
Sometimes when he said a senctence (sometimes = nearly every of his sentences) made me feel the "aha-effect", couldnt even think about all the things he told me (thank god I recorded the sessions!).
I was playing nl10+nl20 before, now I am playing nl50 and hope to go nl100 soon! I think the coaching is good and worth for everyone from any stake! (no matter how low) It kind of gives you the right direction where to move, how to improve, or simply just how to max our EV (!).
Im not saying Im "crushing" everyone now, Im not saying getting blah as a coach guarantees you to be a better or winning player. Blah gave me the right view on me, the view from outside that I needed to see myself like I do now. The only thing I didnt like @ the sessions was that blah is a asian canadian (means hes talking very fast, donno if its related cause hes asian but every asian I know is talking turbo). Im from europe and I speak fluent english but when I listen to the sessions I still have to repeat it several times to get it all (maybe just because I didnt know like him, what he was talking about).
so if you get some coaching of him and you are not from US or sth, ask him to slow down some
thank you so far blah! I will def. come back to you for more coaching @nl100
cya
