Coaching Poker Forums

over 6mths ago i contacted OMGClaydol through 2+2 forums for some HH review coaching

he got me to ship him funds to his account "MissOracle" which is his new account since OMGClaydol got banned for being underage (all this is mentioned in his series top 0.56%)

to this date i still have no coaching done

i am told by DC that since transaction was not processed by them i cant get it back

I will when i have time post all emails and PMs sent back and forth

I guess i am not getting any coaching done or my money back

So i am warning all who would consider coaching in the future to consider payment through a third party

or just dont do it

He made a post on DC 2 days ago and is still a listed DC coach so it's surprising you can't get this resolved/isn't a misunderstanding. What exactly happened?

whats happened is after 8 mths i have still not gotten a HH review

and he still strings me along saying stuff like ill get back to you soon but never does

paid for 3 hours of review time and recieved none

because i delt with him directly through his email and not through DC i am told DC cannot resolve this.

Hey, sorry about this, there is zero chance you will ever get ripped off by me - unfortunately there were a few situations from a while ago I wasn't able to fully resolve - at some point I started becoming extremely busy (with playing/coaching/travelling) and the main problem was I lost my spreadsheet (I usually would be the one contacting students asking when they wanted their time etc). I indeed received e-mails from brett and said I'd get back to him/make a video (but instead took longer than I thought). A couple of a weeks ago he requested a refund which is of course more than fine, I got back to him and I didn't get out of the States (where I can't access Stars) until 4 days later so I forgot about this and I didn't get another message from him since. I will message you now, sorry about this delay.

Fortunately I now have a lot more free time to work on coaching properly, with my travelling in countries like Fiji/USA where I can't play (the former just because of bad internet) which is why I am now again offering coaching.

Fwiw I have had somewhere between 50-100 students, done many, many marketplace transactions (staking/otherwise) on 2p2 (some for 10k+), and my reputation is very important to me. I am sorry that this took so long and wasn't dealt with properly on my behalf, but I assure you and everyone else your money is never unsafe with me. On a side note the students I had who have had issues with delays with me were all offered some bonus/free time for compensation

Still is a pretty terrible service imo. He paid 8 months ago and still has not recieved any coaching. IMO you should have shipped his money back a long time ago and contacted him when you could actually offer your services. You are not a bank.

Yes I know, it's a rare exception, there were a couple of times where I told him I could send back in the mean time and he said it's fine (nice of him, I do appreciate that), because I knew I wouldn't be free for a month or something, e.g. in January for Aussie Millions. By no means am I saying the service was fair, which is why I offered him (or anyone else who experienced this problem) a free hour regardless of if he gets the hours or not.

Fair enough, OP should have probably posted all the emails straight away because his original post is quite bias and doesn't at all paint the whole picture.

Yeah I have contacted him and I think it will be resolved, if he confirms I will instantly ship back money and I have offered a free hour to him regardless of his decision. Thanks for your opinion though euEra

that i think OMGClaydols vids and advice on forums has been great but yea after 8 mths i am over it

cant even bring myself to play poker atm

got cheated at my local pub game too (collusion and table rigging ie non random table assignments) and TDs that wont punish cheats

at this stage there is nothing to coach as i have pretty much given up on playing poker for extra cash due to being cheated and getting nothing in so long

please go ahead and ship back the money

i still think OMGClaydols advice is excellent for 180 mans and MTT tourneys in general but meh i am over poker period

Yea I don't think there is any disagreement as to who said what etc, and as far as I'm concerned we are hopefully on good terms

I will go ahead and refund him as requested, and I will also do the free hour of review if he likes.

ALL IS GOOD

as omg stated there where delays on both ends

however i didnt know he had gone away again recently and had asked for money back a few times

it just seemed that i needed to post here to get a better response

OMGClaydols advice is great and at the beggining he put me onto a few books ie colin moshmans books and websites with lots of vids ie here

this thread should be removed in the interest of fairness

Thanks for the message, yeah you are right I don't think I mentioned I didn't send immediately because I was in the States. I don't mind eitherway but no this thread doesn't need to be removed, I think people are entitled to know what happened, I have nothing to hide and hopefully my handling of the situation will be seen as satisfactory and people will still be willing to give me a chance when I say that I will ensure avoiding these sorts of issues in the future
