Hello my name is Rytas Dirse. I am 20 years old and I have been eating, breathing, and sleeping, poker since I was 13. I started playing on pokerroom.com on a fake account. My oldest brother was dabbling with mtts on there and would send me a money transfer whenever he cashed. I started off on the wrong foot with bad bankroll management… I didn’t care all I cared about was that I got the chance to play. I would play as many hours as I could whenever I got the chance. I didn’t know the next time I would get to play. I never really cared about winning or losing at first. Just wanted to learn about the game get experience at a young age so that I would know the game inside and out by the time I turn legal gambling age.
I turn 21 this coming April. In the last 3 years I have lived in 3 countries. I grew up in southern Ontario, moved to Edison nj when I was 17 where I finished up high school and began playing underground games as well as UB and poker stars online. I built a bankroll up for when I turned 18 I moved to Klaipeda Lithuania. My family was on my case about going to school. So I said fuck it I will take off to Europe and go to school to satisfy my family. I really just wanted to play more live now that I was 18. I never really had a good track record online. But my live game since day one has been amazing, from home games, to winning tournaments at the local billiards when I was 15. I played every night in Klaipeda’s Olympic casino when I was 18 from September 2009 to January 2010 I was ranked first on Lithuania’s Olympic casino leader board for the month of October and November.
After that semester I decided not to return to school but to move back to New Jersey and get a job to start building my bankroll again. I spent a lot of my money foolishly partying in Europe. Now I moved back to Canada and currently reside in Niagara Falls Ontario. I just had a deep run in one of turning stones winter meltdown events in Verona NY.
For the next four months I am going into no life mode. I will be stacking loot and studying my game as much as I can in the next four months to prepare myself for when I turn 21. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be someone in the poker world soon. I fully believe I have the raw talent and enough playing experience at my age to blossom once I am of age.
I am looking for coach to take me under their wing. I learned from the wrong people starting off. I had to travel the world and dissect the game in different cultures to improve some of my leaks that could have been prevented from day one. Now is the time I have spent the last 7 years dreaming of. And I am looking for someone that wants pass on their experience for a high percentage of my tournament winnings. I’m not looking for any money, just looking for a good mentor for a big percentage of my poker career.
