Hello everyone
Im a micro stakes player who has been playing on and off for a few years.
But now i want to step it up and really hoping to find a coach in October.
My current bankroll is around $350 and im playing the $10nl FR on Stars whilst multi tabling upto 16 tables using TN.
I want to use September as a month to gather anything between 50k and 100k hands for a fairly decent hand sample for a new coach to look at next month.
Im hoping my bankroll will have increased by then and i can afford a lesson or two from a DC coach.
Is this a decent option or should i play for 3 months before trying to get a coach ?
If anyone could recommend a coach or a someone is out there that is interested in coaching someone like me then please dont hesitate to contact me.
Thanks in advance

Why do you want a coach with all the free options available to you?? and the coaching fees alone wiill take a significant chunk out of your bankroll!
I'd just put in the hours to study videos, analyse my hands, common spots and do the math. The majority you'll should be able to figure out without any coaching at all and the rest you could post in the forum?
Things like the Micro Experiment can also help you out, but if you're dead set on getting a coach, why not ask if a 50NL player or 100NL player is willing to take you under his wing?

Thanks for the response Estist
In regards to getting a coach, i just feel i learn better when im in discussion in certain situations with a player that knows more than me.
I feel i get frustrated when i get into situations where im not comfortable and unsure of what's the best play against certain villains... its probably a peace of mind kinda thing.
I shall be putting a lot of effort on over the next 6 weeks or so to work on many things i struggle with .. things like patience, tilt moments, certain post flop situations, volume etc etc
I will post a graph and stats as the month progresses and hopefully i will get some positive ( or negative ) feeback and re-evaluate from there.
Ive just recently signed up to DC and currently watching some FR videos ... so its all systems go from here.
Obviously if any higher stakes player would like to take me under their wing, then who am i to say no
Thanks.

Does anyone offered you any help? Did you find a coach?
I am currently playing 100 and 200NL full ring with a nice win rate.
Don't know what kind of help you would need, but I would probably be open to help you in some way.

The things you need to improve are very basic and explained very well in the practically free videos. Coaching would be a huge waste of your money. You can ask questions in video threads if you see the coach do something you wouldn't and you don't fully understand why and get the discussion for free that way. And if you do understand why, then you've learned for less than $1/day instead of $50+/hour.

I totally agree with that.
I reached 100NL pretty much on my own listening to videos. There is a lot of quality content on the site and most of the coaches are willing to answer in the videos threads.
Even when you hire a coach, it will definitely help you, but at the end, this is the effort that you put overall that will help you improve.
There are also a lot of ressources available on the site, like forums. You could also try to join a study group and have few pokers friends. This is also very helpful. Personnaly, I have few poker friends that I discuss with on skype almost on a daily basis. We share interesting hands and make some hand review from time to time.
You can also make a video of your play and put it in the appropriate thread. You'll probably receive some very helpful comments.
