Do any DC coaches do a package where......... you don't do any sessions, but the money I pay gets me a certain number of credits for HH bombardment... so that I can send a bunch of HH to a certain person whose opinion is going to be well thought out, and who can articulate why that is,..
I love the DC forums, and while by and large the discussions are amazing value for the $0 one has to pay... it occurs to me that I can afford to engage a coach specifically for the purposes of responding to HH questions etc.
I have a coach, but am not about to send through every dumb HH I just have a simple question on...
In some cases it wouldn't even take the person more than a minute... as I'll have a simple question about a line on a certain board or something, and I'm at 10NL so I wouldn't be looking for creative lines or 5th level thinking or anything like that...

I'm pretty sure you can get this for free with NL100+regs on Skype, you are quite likable and have a good rep here on DC. If not you can always mark hands and go through them with a coach no? I'm sure a lot of coaches do this for free if you have a diary of hands and you send them before each session and I think most coaches are quite good at answering queries and little hands on skype if they are your regular coach

As part of my coaching for all students I offer them the ability to send me HH's in between sessions as part of what they pay for. Sending something like 2-3 per session is fine as long as they understand that I'll get to them when I have time. I suspect that other DC coaches have similar policies, although it will certainly vary from coach to coach.
The problem that I see with what you're suggesting is that it may teach you how to play exactly perfectly in those exact situations but what you should be aiming for that "full" coaching provides is the ability to interact with the coach 1-on-1 to explore a lot of other possibilities and teach you how to think for yourself in future spots. An email only format is much more restrictive to developing your own thought processes.
Sure, you could send: [Hand History], What would you do if the turn was, A, B, or C and the river was X, Y, or Z against a weak-tight passive/weak-loose passive/TAG/LAG/Maniac/Phil Ivey/etc... But that basically requires that he coach write a short novel on every hand history and you still are only really learning about that exact spot.
Why don't you dedicate one session for this?
I'm convinced that it would be really helpful !!
I think that this is a better use of both parties' coaching time. Interacting in real time so that you have more time to ask/answer those kinds of questions more easily is very useful imo.

This is definitely a possibility, however I'm sort of thinking of a quickfire ongoing situation where I fire one off and get a response quickly... then move on... many of the spots I question aren't nearly interesting enough to save up to talk about with Balugawhale.

Cheers... yeah I chat back and forth a little with some other DCers on skype but don't impose myself too much...

Yeah I have certainly been offered this too... and I'd send any real doozies to him, or keep them for the next session...
But I tend to generate HH questions in greater volume than I'd be comfortable sending to him as just the fringe benefit of having a coaching package.
But you guys are right... I should probs just store up the real interesting ones and do a HH coaching session.

You should keep thse spots and ask the questions you have to ask. You already know that the most important is not the best action in a given situationn but the questions you ask yourself. And that is what you should discuss.
In your situation, all the questions you have in a hand are interesting to discuss.

I think pretty much every coach offers this in between coaching sessions, as they should. You don't just pay for the coaching session, you pay for the coaching session + some support for the 1-2 weeks till the next session, and it's included in the price. I always encourage my students to ask me as much as possible and not being afraid of bothering me too much, since the average student doesn't nearly ask enough. When it becomes too much, I'll let them know.
Some of my students have your exact problem, where they generate hands they have questions about at a much higher volume than I can reasonably handle, so I started offering my students up to 2 seperate HH review sessions for in between coaching sessions (ie, after each coaching session, as long as they've booked the next one, they can buy up to 2 of these). They're 1 hour long at a ~40% discount of my normal hourly, but in exchange for that they don't get to ask questions in between the normal sessions anymore. I feel this works great and the feedback of the students has also been very positive about this. The 2 additional hours on a weekly basis are plenty to go over all the "not super interesting" hands they have, and it also allows me to get to know the student's game even better so the "real" coaching sessions can be more effective. Maybe ask your coach if he's willing to do such a thing?

That's a really cool idea IMO. Seems a great coaching structure for the lower stakes players.
