who Phil Hellmuth? This man is extremely accomplished, regardless if you think he sounds stupid or even if he's the antichrist. Are you saying that the spite towards him is founded upon the premise that somebody who seems more intelligent or a better person deserves his accomplishments? Well what's stopping you.

Phil Ivey doesn't seem like the sharpest tack around either but he's considered one of the best in the world at playing poker. That's what happens when you play 14 or 15 hours a day for four years (and he also began playing at the age of 8).

Not at all. Not even a little. The spite toward him is based in his endless berating of people who make decent plays, his disdain for the online poker scene and a refusal to acknowledge that MAYBE some of the 'online kids' actually know what they're doing, his staunch refusal to update his game even a little bit, his complete lack of even a little tilt control, his tendency to make the worst plays that you've ever seen, his constant trumpeting of his 'accomplishments', his ridiculous WSOP entrances, his laughably bad books and youtube training videos, and his apparent hatred of math.

What informed hatred you have. To each their own. I prefer to spend my energy becoming a better player. Please feel free to post on hands I'm discussing (micro stakes nlh), then I would be much obliged to debate.
