Hey everyone, I'd like to introduce my LHE group coaching package!
My target audience is micro and small stakes players who are looking to move up to / crush small stakes. I do think a lot of small/mid stakes players could benefit as well - if anyone has concerns about applicability to their games please PM me and we will discuss it.
I have designed a curriculum that focuses on the concepts I believe are most important to crushing the current small stakes games online. For each session I have put together a PowerPoint presentation and collected hand histories illustrating the relevant concepts. Questions will be welcome at any time - the materials I present are intended to help guide and focus our conversation.
Outline
PygmyHero's Theory of Games (NOT Game Theory): why winning is possible, how to do it, the HUD, notes, table and seat selection
Dealing with regs: reg psychology, adjustments we can make
Hand reading: Ockham's Razor and evolution-based hand reading
Value betting: extracting max value
Bluffing: when and how to do it
Logistics
I intend to form a group of 6 people. If there is sufficient interest I will try to form a second group.
We meet every week for 5 weeks
Each session will be between 1.5-2+ hours. I have done 8 sessions so far and 7 were over 2 hours. Please keep that in mind as far as your scheduling availability.
The cost is $350 per person. That will work out to under $35 an hour.
Scheduling
I am hoping to start in early May (before the 11th). I'm working under Eastern time but I have a fair amount of scheduling availability on many days (weekdays and weekends) and have managed to work out times with US players, Euros, and even an Australian. I don't think it will be a problem - once the group is assembled we'll find a time that will work.
Reviews
I am wrapping up my first groups this week (they have already done 4 of 5 sessions) and will try to pester them for some reviews. The initial comments I've received has been VERY positive but I will try to make more feedback available to you.
One benefit you have is that this will now be my third group, which means I've worked out some of the technical and logistical kinks that the first two groups had to suffer through.
Boilerplate
You are allowed to record the sessions, but only for your own personal private use.
Cancellation / no-show / disconnection policy: I will generally not offer refunds though I will be as reasonable as possible. For example, I will work with you to try and obtain a video of the recording if someone else in the group recorded.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mate, you certainly don't need to pester me for a review. I am more than happy to give a massively positive review to pygmyhero's coaching. I have had both one on one coaching and had the privilage of being one of the participants of the first group. I have found the group coaching to be a unique and very beneficial format.
I will be writing up a better (and longer) review later when I am not on my phone but anyone that may be thinking about getting coaching, you should seriously consider this option. For an hour rate pygmyhero is really underselling himself. I have gotten A LOT from these sessions and it certainly shows in my results.
Thanks pygmyhero

To any potential respondents, I realized I should clarify one thing. We will meet every week at the SAME TIME each week. So when you reply please give me an idea of the days and times that would work for you (including the time zone you are using).

Hi PH, I'd like to join your next coaching group. I work flexible hours so invariably there will eventually be a coaching session I miss but I'm hoping someone will record it for me. I will record the ones I attend and am happy to share with other students who miss that session.
I live in Perth, Western Australia and am in the time zone UTC/GMT +8 hours. I am available in the early mornings or late evenings.
I think you're about 12 hours behind me so that would mean I am available 7-9am any day or 6-8pm Fri/Sat/Sun in your timezone.
Hope this is clear
cheers

Yep, this is correct. Thanks for your times. There was an Aussie in the previous group and while it wasn't easy to get everyone together we did eventually figure it out.

Hi PH,
I'd love to join the next group. I live in London, UK and work from 8am to 6pm weekdays GMT+1. So any time outside of these hours would be good for me.
I've actually been watching your RL Grinder series, so this would be fantastic timing!
Cheers,
George.

That would be me
taxed101, don't let the early mornings worry you, especially if you are going to record them as you can just go over them later if it didn't all sink in. I am a morning person and love my early starts so it didn't bother me at all, but an extra early morning 1 day a week for 5 days is massively worth it.
Guys there is not much more I can say about PygmyHero's coaching without actually giving away what we learnt in the group sessions. But all I can say is that at $35/hour, this is stupidly cheap and the best coaching deal you are going to EVER find.
As of a few weeks ago, I finally became a winning player at LHE after years of only breaking even if not being a lossing player. And tonight I have finally broken through .50/1 and am now a winning player at that as well according to my HEM data. And to be honest there is no way that I would have achieved these milestones without PH's guidance and wisdom.
I know it is only a very short sample size (only about 12k hands), but take a look at the attached image. This is pretty much the effect PH has had on my game since I started my sessions with him. I am more than happy to talk to anyone regarding my experience dealing with PH as a coach if you want more info.

They might not be the greatest stats but for the first time in years I am a winning player at poker. I am currently beating .25/.50 LHE at around 1.5BB/100 over my last 10k hands at that level and as of tonight have just turned into a winning player at .50/1 and expect that trend to continue over my next 10k hands for a good sample and proof.

I honestly thought Limit Hold'em was dead. But alright, if someone can still profit then i guess its a pretty awesome package.
It's funny you say that...I actually have a few graphs in my presentation that I think will be pretty eye-opening then. I have a certain opinion of the state of games but to be honest the research I did led to some interesting and unexpected conclusions (favorable ones that is). I don't want to give everything away though...I hope you'll join us and see.

Hi all,
I actually do not think that this coaching group needs any advertisment. Nevertheless I would like to mention that I had really good experiences with PygmyHero.
I was impressed by his way of coaching, his way of talking about the game.
If any micro / small stakes LHE player is looking for a good coach, PygmyHero is definitly one of the "go to guys".
Cheers
