I currently play full ring NL50 on pokerstars and swinging like a mad catter. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to good coach. Want to improve also on using my HUD stats more effectively as well as combating the regs. TY.

Really depends on the price range you are seeking. NLFool is a pretty sick coach and knows a lot about the game. If his hourly is to high for you he also does group coaching.

NLFool is one of the coaches I was looking at. Was very impressed with his video. He seems very insightful and someone I could really benifit from.Im looking at 1 session with a veiw for more in the future. Also depends on time differences as I live in Australia. Im willing to pay a little extra for the quality.

Also wanted to find out if you want to speak to a coach through email, how to contact them?

You can send them a PM by clicking on their Avatar I believe.

There are quite a few great coaches at reasonable prices for FR like SoundedSimple, DiscoBisco, Goldseraph. I'm sure NLFool is a sick player but at 50NL I'm not sure the extra cost for his sessions will be worth it to you. For example for 5 sessions with him you could get around 10 sessions with some of the guys I mentioned above. It's up to you to decide which would benefit you more and how much money you're willing to spend. Maybe try a couple of coaches out and see who you like best?

It depends. Does he want a coach to get him to 100nl+ and winning or a coach to get him to just beating 50nl. Gotta think about the future in your investments. I am not saying any of those coaches aren't good for that as well but there is a reason NLFool charges more and that is because he is marketing himself as a SSNL-MSNL coach.

I'd say it's not really either/or. I think using different coaches as you move up levels can be helpful as you get different perspectives/styles. You could get a less expensive coach now to get to beating 100NL and then get a different coach to get you to NL200+.

I'd also add that I think any of the DC FR coaches could get you beating 50NL-100NL if you're a good worker with a decent aptitude for poker. I didn't really notice much difference between NL100 and NL50 - I think NL200 is the first difficult jump in the FR games today.

I think if money is a consideration and you're playing NL50 you'd get much more from 2 or 3 sessions from a less expensive coach than from just 1 session with a more expensive coach.

Yah but I am saying NLFool isn't marketing himself to the 50nl micro crowd. He is a guy who can get you up an beating 100nl - 200nl. It doesn't take much to beat 50nl. That can be done in the forums. So if you are going to invest might as well spend the money effectively on a good SSNL - MSNL coach whoever that might be

Also, why would you keep hoping coaches in between levels? You get more value by reduced prices by sticking with one solid coach and he knows your leaks better. I am not saying you should get a coach at 50nl and stick with him all the way to 1knl but getting a new coach for each level is silly to me. Just get a solid coach that is playing 2-3 levels higher than you and quit as soon as his knowledge is less than is required for your level. So as soon as you get to his level.

He never said money was even a issue and in fact said he wouldn't mind spending more on a better coach if he was more qualified and a better teacher that could offer more.

I just made a recommendation based on what I know. The only one I knew enough about to make a solid recommendation for this level was NLFool. There are defiantly others and there may be others for cheaper that you can find that can give you enough knowledge.
